Revolution Makeover

^Make that six then...

I don't care what the paint scheme is. The fact that it's getting a paint job means it's staying for a few more years at least. Personally, I think that's good news since it's the best steel coaster there.

And yes I am going on abit, but im sticking up for my side of the country.

I heard you're all poor and live on the dole too. That, or you all work in coal mines and hate Thatcher.

I quite like the grey, it's very British I think. I like the logo too, very kitsch and typical of the tackiness of Blackpool <3
How old are you? Quoting Thatcher, really....

Did she say something about how tacky Blackpool is as well?

It's a JOKE, get over it?

^ It's not funny though, well it is to someone who doesnothaveasenseofhumour.
And of course I've heard of the saying, but it doesn't mean it's true though. And yes I am going on a bit, but Im sticking up for my side of the country.
Oh, **** sake. I'm Northern, I laugh it off, if you think that the North of England is nice, you're far from correct. Yes, whilst it's not as ignorant as the South ( ;) ), it's not as beautiful in terms of countryside. Stop moaning, you don't need to "stick up for YOUR side of the country", it's pointless, you're not going to change an age-old natural division between the North/South.

One of the things I love about Northerners is their ability to banter. They take the piss constantly and are never happier than when somebody wants to have a bit of a banter contest with them.

Well, that's how it used to be in the good old grim days I lived up there, it's obviously different for the new generation. Northerners have lost their personality - such a sad day :(

Meanwhile, in Africa...

Oi! :p

Can't beat a bit of banter, only problem is people get too involved with it now and get a bit carried away.

I think Rev will look great once it's finished tbh.

Hanley? Dump

Hanley is great! You can get incredibly drunk, very easily, and forget that you're there!

Anyway, I'm starting to like the paint job more and more. Initially, I just thought that it looked like they had put the primer on, got bored and left it. Now, it seems more appealing.

Cheshire isn't North, you southern shandy drinking pansy* :p

Agreed, if a little dull, but still great. [/vague attempt to keep on topic]

Hence why it is inhabited entirely by alcoholics. "Morning dear, how are you today? Fine? Good! It's a beautiful day, let's open the curtains and let the world rejoice with us... Oh bollocks, I forgot we live in Hanley... Pass the whisky dear.... Take a shot for yourself too. Ahhhh, blessed drunken relief".

*I was born in Lancashire, I'm only a "midlander" due to location :p

That's nothing to brag about dear. Merseyside <3 ;)

Anyone got any idea on when this is meant to be completed?

I know someone who works for the company that has the Painting Contract with Pleasurebeach, I've not had chance to speak to him yet, so, anyone got a clue on how it's going? (Scott, I'm looking your way ;) )

Behave, Crewe is in the North West, not the Midlands!

Hanley is too expensive for a night out, plus it's in Stoke, so I don't like it!

Anyway, sticking to the topic, the Rev makeover is in full swing, I have heard it'll be ready for June but I reckon they'll be done before that.

Being a scouser is nothing to brag about :p

I know it's sad, but I'm always intrigued by this kind of thing. Do you just head up on a scaffold with 2,000 tins of B&Q value battleship grey and a few dozen rollers? I assume there's relatively specialist equipment required?

I know Infusion was powder coated by a company on the Wirral (posh scousers, much better than Merseyside :p ), but that was easy as it was in bits.

Anything south of the Mersey is southern and the strongest it smells is lager-top, but mostly it's Shandy Bass or bust :p

Cranes and/or man-lifts.

They repainted Raging Bull in the Spring I worked that ride. They had some specialty equipment for getting up there, but the painting gear was always removed before we arrived in the morning. Pretty sure they were using sprayers.

Sorry couldn't be more helpful.

Yeah right.

These new colours look rather tasteful, I must say. No more brand abuse, modest colours...

Pokey happy.

^ Definitely. It's simple and fits with the colour theme of Blackpool; DULL. It fits perfectly ;)

Nick land does, apart rom that NOTHING else is "bright". Steeplechase is meant to be, but has gone grimy again, so if you was trying to be sarcastic, you **** failed.

Steeplechase has been covered with what I said.

The thing is, none of the ones you've mentioned are "BRIGHT" at all in fact. Yes, two of the ones mentioned contain the colours "Red" and "Light Blue". But neither of them are actually bright...
