A-Kid could be taken several different ways, both rightly and wrongly.

As touch 10/10 or 0/10 depending on how dirty your mind is.

I preffered it when it was UncleArly as it was a really clever username but anyway 9/10

And, once again, Slash + Flash = Awesomeness :--D

The Grape Wizard; it is a long story - so is Lord of the rings and thats a seller. Its very, very mysterious. It makes me wonder how you got such a random username. 8/10

Mine, couldn't think of much else

It's got noob written all over it...

Numbers? Do you need them?

Anything with the word coaster in it is noobish.

6/10

He's calling me a noob and I've been on the website for more than a year longer than him

You have no creativity at all with your name, but I suppose it does fill in the criteria of reckognition :) 5/10

I agree my username is crap, but I'll stick with it. With pride! :p

Gahh I predict a name change :(

And you know what makes you a noob? Maybe the name coasterchris was taken so I needed to add more information to it, you didn't know that

His name is Chris - he likes coasters - he was born in 1993.

Such an enigmatic username... 1/10

I really need to change my username now, help!? :(

And I love your username Furie, I'm still trying to unravel the meaning behind it. 10/10

I wish I was a few years older when I thought of my username

A username (for me) should either show that there's something more about you -that you have interests beyond your current "on-line environ" - or just be professional and plain and say who you are.

It really comes down to a degree of how seriously you take yourself, or how pretentious, or if you like to have a little fun.

If you have just your name, then your pretension levels are probably quite low. You are just being who you are - nothing more, nothing less.

My username comes from the name of my favourite hamster. I took on his name after he died :) He was a fab hamster, and the name was utterly inappropriate. He was soft, stupid utterly placid. I also like taking the name on for myself for oddly exactly the same reasons :)

The name originally comes from a book - Imajica by Clive Barker. The main character, Furie (or John Zacharias, or Gentle) is a womaniser, a cheat, a faker and generally a bit of an arse. Again, I like the fact it doesn't match me at all ;)

The other source would be from Greek Mythology, where the Furie's were a race of warrior women.

Other than that, the surname Furie comes from the De Ferrier family, who were major protagonists in the Wars of the Roses.

So lots of meanings, and anyone could take any of them if they like to work out which I am. Of course, only I (and the few others I've told before) nkow about the hamster link :D

I also chose something which I knew would still mean a lot to me as I grew older. It's ambiguous enough not to be embarrassing as a normal name (unlike The Grape Wizard - which you'd feel silly about as a 30 year old man :p ), yet still intriguing enough and playful enough to be used happily.

I doubt that helped you pick anything at all, but at least you have an insight now :p

Cool. Good point.

10/10 for furies name.

Also can you rate my second name as well please. It's Special_Needs_Furie. Thanks

I'm glad I now know the passage to invent the perfect username. I was probably 12-13 when I came up with "coasterchris93" as it was the first name that sprung to mind, and for the fact I was so damn im-patient to join the community; as after riding Nemesis I was instantly hooked on rollercoasters, not just enjoying them in general but the mechanics and those that design them etc. So I came to this site, when it was rather young (2005 it was "totally" different), browsed through your forums and felt I would fit in greatly with you guys. So thats why I signed up swiftly

I had many unusual names for my pets, especially when I called my pet fish Sushi and Hitler, which definately brought some odd expressions to visitors. I really haven't searched closely into what username could suit me personally, but I'd definately not call myself Sushi or Hitler by any chance, but even if I do spend some time one time thinking closely on something that does spark mystery (very much like your name Furie, excellent username I was actually planning to Google it!), I would may even rely on that name for anything in the future. Like you did.

Well for the current moment in time I had to be different and be slightly more adventurous than "coasterchris93", thanks to the ability of Furie's name changing powers I am now know as "Kebab"! :p

It's not only meat on a stick, or food you buy when you are hammered on a night out with friends; it's more than that. There is something mysterious behind the whole meaty stick formula, it's basically being different than just meat on several prongs or in your hands. Well thats me :) I don't go on prongs or held in hands; I am placed on a tall stick (don't get any weird thoughts now...). Maybe because I'm fairly "lanky", or people just find me disgusting and some find me a luxury, or even maybe if I clog your heart? I don't know myself for sure. But any random name isn't just any random name; so you members of CF keep this in mind!

"A random username isn't just a random username, even the most simplistic has a billion stories to be told. So use the left side of the brain before you rate someone 2/10"
