1. Velocicoaster - Islands of Adventure - what hasn't been said about this ride. This ride is a perfect overall package.
2. Pantheon - Busch Gardens Williamsburg - what it lacks in atmosphere, it delivers in a great punch. The backwards launch is unreal.
3. Storm Runner - Hersheypark - Its a bit gimmicky, but I really enjoy this one. The snake dive is one of the best inversions around
4. Xcelerator - Knott's Berry Farm - its a bit gimmicky, but its a helluva gimmick. That launch into the top hat is insane
5. Rita: Queen of Speed - Alton Towers - this ride is way overlooked. The launch is punchy and the turns are really intense. I wasn't expecting much based on the reviews but I was totally caught off guard by how good this thing really is.
6. Speed Monster - Tusenfryd - this gave me the opposite experience that Rita gave. The Norwegian loop is impressive and the setting is cool, but operations suck and the ride looks more intense than it really is.
7. Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure - Islands of Adventure - The best family coaster around. I just wish the queue wasn't as brutal as it is. Basically everything I want in a fun, family experience. Night rides are a must.
8. Sandy's Blasting Bronco - Nickelodeon Universe - Its a little short, but really punchy for its length. I love how you take the layout forwards and backwards. The ride just has major operational problems. Would it be worth the price of admission alone? Probably not.
9. Kingda Ka (RIP) - Six Flags Great Adventure - what a rush this ride was. The launch and the view from the top are super memorable for sure. This ride introduced me to the whole Safri Duo Played-A-Live album and I'm glad it did.
10. Stealth - Thorpe Park - Basically a smaller, rainier version of Kingda Ka. Before Hyperia, this was my favorite ride at Thorpe
11. Cheetah Hunt - Busch Gardens Tampa - A fantastic family coaster for sure. My favorite part of this is the section over the water into that second launch.
12. Hiccup's Wing Gliders - Epic Universe - Universal said they wanted the water section of Cheetah Hunt, but make it the entire ride. Unfortunately Cheetah Hunt's low capacity was also ported over. It would rank a lot higher if the line wasn't so brutal.
13. V2 Vertical Velocity - Six Flags Discovery Kingdom - its a shame this ride is never operational. I love the hangtime in the twisted spike. Its such a unique experience
14. V2 Vertical Velocity - Six Flags Great America - these impulse coasters are surprisingly fun. Too bad more of them were never built
15. Possessed - Dorney Park - This one was fun but I think the SF impulses give you more pass throughs if I remember
15. Volcano (RIP) - Kings Dominion - a great gimmick but it was never worth the waits this always received. I miss it but Rapterra is a worthy successor
16. Avatar Airbender - Nickelodeon Universe - my favorite Avatar themed ride in the whole country. Sorry Flight of Passage, Aang >>>>> blue people
17. Incredicoaster - Disney California Adventure - Its ok for a first inversion coaster, even if the inversion is the roughest part of the whole ride. I wish I rode it as Screamin'
18. Wave Breaker - Sea World San Antonio - fun little coaster. Too bad the ride has awful capacity. The setting over the water is really cool
19. Darkoaster - Busch Gardens Williamsburg - Virginia begged for Volcano to come back and BGW of all parks delivered with a low capacity launch coaster with a gimmick. The double pass through is great if you're not expecting it and the launch midway has a nice punch, but its not worth the waits that it gets
20. Timmy's Half Pipe Havoc - Nickelodeon Universe - I do enjoy these half pipe coasters a lot. I think the Minnesota version runs better although this one has the better seats.
