1. Parrot Coaster - The smart and graceful one
2. Flying Wing Coaster - The weird and intense one
3. Flug der Dämonen - The efficient and bouncy one
4. Wild Eagle - The inefficient and pretty one
5. Swarm - The inoffensive and Thorpe one 6. Raptor - The inoffensive and sluggish one.
1. GateKeeper - huge ride, the inversions provided great hangtime and the dive loop and Immelmann had good Whip in the Backrow.
2. The Swarm - awesome Theming, very good inversions, especially the in-line twist nur the ride could be a bit longer
3. Fenix - Theming is great, ride has solid Pacing and the Helix is very intense but the inversions could be better
4. Flug der Dämonen - Haven’t ridden it since 2014 but enjoyed it at that time.
Thunderbird, Holiday World - Loved the launch. Much more intense than expected and the whole ride feels balanced throughout. Was a little bumpier than expected though.
Fenix, Toverland - Beautifully themed and a lovely smooth layout, however too short.
GateKeeper, Cedar Point - Just such a big ride and I love the location and flying through the keyholes.
Flug der Daemonen, Heide Park - Had some strange elements and maneuvers which i thought were really interesting.
The Swarm, Thorpe Park - It's smooth and nice and all. Just doesn't have the wow factor for me.
From the ones you have ridden, how would you rank the Wing Coasters you've ridden as of yet? I've only ridden X-Flight, which is my favorite coaster that I've ridden so far. (Not for long though. ;) )
Thunderbird is the best by far, followed by Gatekeeper and X Flight with a near tie. Wild Eagle was disappointing. Probably hyped myself up too much and got disappointed. Raptor is a great ride but not the quality of anything above it. Thunderbird is easily the best. Its #17 on my top 25.
Ridden a couple more of these on my recent US trip so have done enough to compile a list:
1. Fenix (the most fun with airtime and near misses)
2. Wild Eagle (the most unique in terms of layout and a great view from the top of the lift hill)
3. X-Flight (the most intense of the ones I've done)
4. Swarm (fairly generic layout wise)
5. Gatekeeper (it's big and fast but aside from the front row this is probably the roughest of all the B&Ms I've ridden!)
