He didn't question him as a source. Simply said its a shame its him considering the awful things that have come to light recently.

Nevertheless this thread should stick to balloons, walls, neverending circular conversations speculating at opening dates and occasionally F.L.Y. itself.

On Instagram 3D printed rollercoasters has shown off some nice modelling of the Vekoma flyer trains. Very intrigued for how they'll feel.

Spot on. Zero car does not get themed.

20 minutes! On a hotel room!! The mind boggles.
Talk about an over inflated ego.
In fairness, I’m considering going to that hotel in a week or so and I did find it quite helpful.

With that said, one thing that both my partner I found quite amusing, on that video and on the park vlog, was the repeated reference to hotel Matamba providing an ‘authentic African theme/experience’. I mean, it’s quite a bold statement isn’t it. Africa being, you know, a whole big ****-off continent. An authentic African experience....? Not the sharpest choice of words. But still, I enjoyed the vlogs.

The only perpetual downside to his videos is that Shawn does come across as a bit of a boy scout. To counteract this, I like to imagine that he turns off the camera and then immediately snorts a load of cocaine. It really does make the videos more enjoyable.

I love this because Matamba, along with the entire Deep in Africa side of the park, are so romanticised that it's quite literally the opposite of "authentically African". However, we are talking about a man who can barely string sentences together sometimes, so I'm not really surprised at all.

Well, he is has managed to earn his money traveling round the world talking about what he loves, so he isn't doing too badly!

The only positive things I can say about Shawn sanbrooke is 1. He seems to be very respectful of social distancing and mask rules and 2. He’s not my least favourite youtube vlogger out there.

Whilst the evidence that has surfaced against his friends can not be ignored, that is another matter for the police to deal with. In terms of the content of his vlogs and his personality, there are other vloggers out there which I personally find more offensive.

I think we'll get to 200 pages if we're just going to talk about Shawn here.
But I want to ''fly'' back on Rookburgh. The details on this balloon are really cool!

And I was already worried that we wouldn't get new wall updates. Oh boy was I wrong.

And saw they finished the windows on the big ''factory'' wall.

A member of PhantaFriends.de today spotted Robert Löffelhardt, the park owner, taking a group into Rookburgh via the Berlin street gateway.
"The passage looked finished to me. The walls were also a little darker in this brick look like the hotel. On the walls there were some lamps to match the theme. In the hallway there was an oldtimer convertible in black, similar to the cars on Kaiserplatz. I would say it was about 1: 2 scale. A door was open, you could have sat in it. Then there were other themes on the wall. Everything fitting, but difficult to describe. It all made a coherent impression on me. It looked really nice. My anticipation has really increased! The construction time was longer, but it will be worth the wait.
By the way, today a camera team was out in the park accompanied by Chris (Theis, executive assistant). I don't know if he moderated the video, but maybe we'll find out more soon. Or it's about something else"

Also PhantaFriends' PHLMarcus chipped into a discussion about the gantry/raised walkway in/along the back wall behind Maus au Chocolat.
"I've already thought about all the ways. In the past few weeks, some new paths and stairs have emerged. Red: existing, elevated paths, orange: existing stairs

Now it is of course difficult to say which of these is perhaps only for evacuation or such purposes. But precisely because these paths are both covered and some have built-in grids so that nothing can be thrown down, I would assume that they are accessible to normal guests.

Here is a speculative suggestion how to connect it as a queueline, for example:

Would quite a cool dynamic queueline winding through and over the area if so. The yellow dotted line is on the ground surface leading down the curved steps around the hot air balloon as seen in previous aerial pictures; leading into the underground queue/station area.

The circular hole to the right of the stairs up (presumed entrance) which as in more recent pictures is now covered by an observatory style dome houses some stairs up from the off load platform below so this is likely the exit.

The first coaster construction I can remember was X in 2001. There were a lot of coaster constructions being documented by enthusiasts or parks in the internet since then, but this is really top notch how boring it is. Still nothing from the park! I am not a marketing specialist but I doubt that this the best way to advertise a new attraction.

Well normally you start in the run up to opening, years before would be pointless and potentially deter visitors and take away from other attractions like last year's Crazy Bats.
Hence why the marketing was kick started with the teaser trailer and Rookburgh Gazette in the Winter season, and as the summer season started most certainly with the opening of bookings for the hotel the full swing of marketing would have been unleashed in the final months ahead of opening. But a pandemic happened inbetween incase you hadn't noticed...
Delayed things and the priority became actually just surviving as a business and getting the park reopened. Rather than exciting some impatient whiny enthusiasts.

Yeah, but it is pretty darn boring though isn’t it... the balloon puns have been more interesting than the ride updates. Construction progress is slower than Steel Curtain’s lift hill.

Why should F.L.Y. never join the mafia? Because it’ll never get made.

‘Construction of F.L.Y’ has finally taken the crown of ‘most disappointing length ever’ from the previous reigning champ, my willy.

Whatever. At the very least, it’ll be interesting to see how long we can keep the puns..... ?...?...?...?...?... afloat ?

Everyone here moaning and complaining about no news from PHL should understand that there is no point for the to hype this up when they won't be opening within a few months, because it is way harder to keep a hype up, than creating a hype. People not following the construction (or knowing even what is going on behind the walls) are 99,9+% of the audience
