So there's a report from the Cologne tabloid Express indicating that Geister Ricksha is on its last legs and is looking to be replaced in the near future, and that sources claim Phantasialand has been in contact with Efteling to help design a replacement.

Take this with a grain of salt, of course, but I'd be curious to see how a trackless dark ride like Symbolica could be made to work in Geister Ricksha's limited space, if that's the direction they're heading with it.

The space isn't really limited.
The track goes under the square in Chinatown.

Just thought I'd share a quick update on the Klugheim/Mexico theming (credit to phantafriends.de).
Rumour is that this project should be totally finished by winter with only a few more areas to complete. I must admit, I'm loving how enclosed Klugheim now looks with the new building facades and also how they've managed to properly separate Mexico from it!

Man for someone who's visited the park about a dozen times, I'm finding it really difficult to track all the upkeep and upgrades that have happened this season. Looking forward to getting out there early next year and seeing it all with my own eyes. Has the Klugheim green wall been themed over now?

Sadly not, it's as ugly as ever! Hopefully over the closed season we might see something!

The former Octowuzy site has been razed and now a fairly large construction area has gone up. Could a new ride be coming at last?

I love a Phantasialand construction site, who knows what we'll see built - could be anything. Seeing as its close to their neighbours I'm guessing either a replacement flat ride or a small restaurant.

Have there been any rumours circulating yet?

I believe that with housing nearby to that area, it'd be either another play structure, a shop, restaurant or something small. Maybe a dark ride.

I don't think it'll be a new rollercoaster or major attraction.

With the park having issues with operating rides in the lake area due to noise complaints from residents and objections from the local council (not sure what they call it in Germany).

They're not able to operate their splash battle with the cannons on for a long time and rarely operate it at all.
