Ocean Kingdom | Flying Over The Rainforest | B&M WingCoaster

Re: Ocean Kingdom | "Unknown" | B&M Wing Coaster

And thus ends X-Flight's reign as best Wing Coaster... probably.

Also, it gets on my nerves when people call Wing Coasters Wingriders. Furius Baco is the only Wingrider (Intamin's name for it). Know the difference.

Language arts (or something like that) is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.

Please get outside more. Yes they are different, but nobody actually cares. I do love these new B&M Wingriders though...

Even though The Swarm is better like. ;)

I have not ridden The Swarm and I know quite well you cannot judge a coaster by its POV. However it SEEMS (SEEMS, not IS) that the only thing it excels in is themeing. However I cannot fully tell, as I don't think that I will ever be able to make it to Thorpe Park (or sadly, Alton Towers) to ride it, however IMO X-Flight appears to be the best ride of the four. (Soon six.)

The Swarm and X-Flight both have layouts what are pretty much the same, but The Swarm has much better theming, it's higher and slightly faster, so I can't see how X-Flight would be better.
Anyway this is going off topic now.

I think a jungle theme would really work well with this coaster as the colours seem very jungle like.

Lol. You couldn't be more wrong. X-Flight is definitely better than Swarm. Firstly, height and speed mean ****, secondly X-Flight's layout is bigger, flows better and is more forceful, finally X-Flight might not have better theming, but they actually USE the wing-coaster trains well. The keyhole element on X-Flight is much better (compared to Swarm's) and they have more direction changes and low passes and headchoppers to utilise the unique trains. Only thing Swarm has is a better station (I wasn't hugely impressed by the rest of the area if I'm honest) and the lights on the trains. Swarm is a good coaster, X-Flight is a great coaster.

The transitions from hill to dive drop, dive drop to roll, roll to Immelmann, Immelmann to helix, etc. etc. are seamless on X-Flight. Can't say the same about The Swarm when comparing mounted POVs in my eyes.

I've ridden them both. You're spot on. ;)

Is there any 'real' confirmation that this will have a straight drop, except from those No Limits pictures?

From the looks of the top-off it goes straight into the drop, unlike the dive drops which require a flat portion of chain to drive it into the twist and the drop itself.

Re: Ocean Kingdom | "Unknown" | B&M Wing Coaster

First Drop Completed,Then for Dive Loop

Height is 50m ,But it drops slightly under the ground,Maybe it will be the Wing coaster with Highest drop

Yay I am not the only one that hates Wing Coasters being called Wing Riders. The designs are also very different.

The Swarm for me has to be the best Wing Coaster, however I don't think this will beat GateKeeper or The Swarm as it hasn't got enough inversions

Re: Ocean Kingdom | "Unknown" | B&M Wing Coaster

GateKeeper will probably be the best because of its airtime camelback hill, but this will be very interesting...

Yes because an airtime hill makes that coaster so much better, when we aren't even 100 percent sure what the layout of this coaster is yet...

You can't call me out for saying an airtime hill makes a difference. Can you imagine airtime on a Wing? IMHO, that makes a coaster better on its own.

And I'm saying probably, not definitely. That could very well change once I see the layout of this one.

Re: Ocean Kingdom | "Unknown" | B&M Wing Coaster

I can't imagine an airtime hill on a wing coaster being any different than an airtime hill on a regular sitdown coaster. Just sayin'.

What gives Gatekeeper so much potential is its mix of inversions and twists along with airtime hills, something they might have learned with Maverick.

Re: Ocean Kingdom | "Unknown" | B&M Wing Coaster

Never been on a wing coaster however this drop looks one of the best. The inverted drops on Swarm/Gatekeeper look like really fun elements but you can't beat a bloody big drop.
