Ever heard about Pratibha Patil? No?

Neither had I before I looked him up to use him as an example here, but he's the president of India. More people read or hear his name every day than there are people in Europe. Perhaps unknown here, but a lot more famous than most other politicians*.

I guess Svetlana Alliluyeva has about the same status in Russia as Bristol Palin has in the USA. Definitely famous for a lot of people, but perhaps not for the everyday CF-er.

Also, another famous Norwegian died the other week. Can't remember his name, though.
