Nigloland have had some nice seasons now and for 2016 they are adding two drop towers. One from Zierer for the kids named La Tour des Petits Fantômes and one from Funtime for the adults named Le Donjon de l’Extrême.
It will be a rather impressive installation for this park! It will be Funtime's first permanent free fall tower.
Here's the spec for the Funtime tower:
Total height 100 meter
Capacity of 700 people per hour
Capacity of 24 passagers
Top speed 115 km/h
Total time of free fall 3 secondes
Height restriction 1.40 meter
Zierer tower arriving.
Zierer seats.
Pouring the foundation.
Funtime tower arriving.
I really like the colors on this one!
Here's how the towers will be arranged. Obviously the scale of the rides are flawed.
Funtime seats.
Here we can see that Funtime have abandoned the Gerstlauer restraints previously used on their drop towers for these new restraints which IMO looks like a huge improvement.
Up it goes!
Also the Zierer tower is going up.
Looks very nice and comfy.
The top decoration looks great!
Fresh photo from the topping of today, I except better photos will be out soon. It's a really tall sucker considering it's one of the less complex drop tower installations!
