New Woodie For Magicland, Italy

Hi all,

Magicland (formerly Rainbow Magicland) near Rome are apparently building a new coaster for next year.

I heard Shaun mention it on his recent TPW video and RCDB also have a 2025 coaster in the "Under Construction" category on the Magicland page.

I couldn't find any more info about it online or a thread on here; so I thought I'd open it up just in case there is some substance behind these rumours.

Have you heard anything?

I believe the new coaster is still on the cards! I visited the park a few weeks back, and no progress, so definitely won't be 2025. Most likely 2026/27.

It's planned to be located where the Flying Island ride is now and the surrounding land. Not sure if the Flying Island will be removed or relocated within the park.

The rumours for a while were that it would be a Wooden coaster, which would be unique to Italy. This could then easily extend on the new Western themed area next door. It will certainly be a major ride, on the scale of 'Shock'.

I believe plans are currently on hold however, as owners 'Pillarstone Italy' are exploring options to sell the park in the coming months, according to Magicland's director Guido Zucchi.

If you are able to translate the page, this forum provides an insight, but I think I've summarised everything!

Not much to go on at the moment but the European Coaster Club posted about this

Magicland in Italy is set to open a new woodie manufactured by Martin & Vleminckx in 2027.

MVR are responsible for some of the worlds best wooden coasters, including the legendary Leviathan and Jungle Trailblazer’s.

Trip to Rome anyone?

Pretty good addition for them.

Update!

The park's director Zucchi has confirmed on a podcast that a wooden coaster will be debuting in Spring 2027 manufcatured by Martin & Vleminckx/The Gravity Group!

The ride will be in the Western zone, on the site of the Flying Island and will feature 'two unique sections' for Europe.

Construction will begin in August, and the project marks a €15m investment.

I'm so glad this project is finally coming to fruition! The park definitely felt like it was lacking another headliner on my visit

That's really exciting! Magicland, like many Italian parks in recent years has been a bit stagnant but they have some really unique and cool rides and theming there, and I'd like to visit sometime. Great to hear they're investing in a big new addition!

This along with the new spinner at Leolandia make a couple of nice additions to Italy in the next couple of years.

Now if Mirabilandia could sort itself out and get back on track that would be nice.

Italy's about to have a nice few years, here's an additional briefer;
