New attractions at Paultons Park

I think this might be for an Intamin single rail coaster. The layout of the footers looks really similar to what we’ve seen on rides like Mahuka or Big Dipper with tight spacing, circular and rectangular foundations, and a compact footprint.

It makes sense for Paulton's too. They’ve been scaling up slowly with Storm Chaser and Cyclonator so a mid-sized single rail would be the perfect next step, thrilling but still family friendly. Plus the support structure doesn’t look heavy enough for something like a B&M and it’s a bit too organized for an RMC Raptor.

My opinion, I'm not an expert so don't quote me but this is just what i think.

Well, that's the staff memo confirmed, I think - the 2026 ride being a coaster, not a water ride, that goes under Cobra. Looking very much like it could indeed be a single-rail.

Doesn't necessarily mean the 2027 "Go-Karts" ride is a water ride, either - I'm hoping it's a woodie, personally. They could definitely be building two new coasters, which would be fantastic.

I just don't see how they could theme a woodie how they have been theming other coasters, if you can prove me wrong please give me some examples!

I mean I'd love to have a woodie at the park but I just can't see it.

Well, the wooden structure alone lends itself to a Viking theme - look at Europa Park's Wodan. The station themed to a Viking building and lots of shields on the wall... sounds enough to me. :)

Mahuka footers are the same as the Gerstlauer method for lower tolerances.
I have pinched a photo from the Mahuka construction thread.
You're fully right. I don't know how this was done for Intamin Big Dipper at Luna Park, but for Mahuka it certainly looks different from the footers at Paulton's.
I must say the Paulton's footers look huge, 1.5-2 meters wide or so, which is not very common I would say.

Well, at the staff memo, it was stated that the coaster will be a 1.2. I checked on intamins website on a hot racer and it stated that their height restriction is a 1.2.
I know there were some people mentioning Vekoma. If it was a Vekoma, we would have seen footers poured on the concrete. So technically it won't be a Vekoma.
Anyway, it would be interesting to see a Intamin hot racer in the UK and I'm very excited for the future here at Paultons Park.
Edit: here's a screenshot on the height restriction for proof.
