I'm excited to see this open, if only to see what RMC does with White Cyclone! It was a pretty huge woodie, so I'm optimistic for the completed conversion!

The White Wale is coming

A new roller coaster will appear next spring in 'Nagashima Spurland' in Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture next spring.

The name of a new roller coaster is "white whale". A hybrid coaster combining wood and iron was given its name from design and color.

"White whale" is the successor attraction of the wooden coaster "White Cyclone" which finished driving in January this year, the course can enjoy a thrill that drops almost vertically at a length of 1530 m and a maximum inclination angle of 80 degrees.

"White whale" is scheduled to start business from March next year, and it seems to be a new attraction of Nagashima Spurland.

After that first drop, the layout is really low to the ground. I think we're going to see one of RMC's best-aced conversions here...

When I saw the name, I got a flash of Dejà Vu. Haven't I seen that name on a white wooden coaster before? Or at least something quite like it? Then it hit me: In RCT2, one of the pre-fabricated wooden coasters is named "Great White Wail". Close enough. It even has inversions, too!

Yeah definitely not a SV beater but will still be a great ride!

Only thing I'm kinda upset about is that the big helices were completely gutted. The ride's structure doesn't look nearly as impressive as it was before.
