I haven't ridden Mumbo Jumbo, but Snoo, the kid & I rode Steel Hawg quite a bit last year. There must be a big difference between the two El Locos because there's no slowness on any of the elements on Hawg. :?

Agreed. Mumbo is taking its course MUCH slower then Hawg.. I wonder what the differences are? The steepness obviously isn't the issue.. maybe over trimmed?

That looks slower than Hawg. Neither coaster is very fast, but we never had the feeling that Hawg could stall at any time.

Yeah, it's really really slow, hence why I epically dislike it. The hang time on it is almost unbearable due to the speed. :(

I didn't mind the hang time so much. Still a pile of crap though. It was just all very disappointing, as I was quite impressed by the look of it from the car park; it's bigger than I expected, but it's just really dull.

^It will be interesting to see what you think of Hawg & the difference between the two. Has Brad or Hixee ridden Jumbo?

Is the whole poncho thing just one of those stories tabloids like to make up or did that actually happen? Just seems a little bit random and from the picture it just seems like the car stalled? I mean, why would the fact that a poncho got stuck mean that another car got stuck through that element?

^I don't think they got stopped in the same element, I imagine it was EITHER e-stopped or automatically had a block moment and stopped itself say, on the lift hill... Though that means they were dispatchig far too quickly for Flamingoland actually...

Regardless, we've interrupted the dull and off topic realisation that two clones aren't always going to be the same ride-wise, lets go back to that :O

Sorry to bore you Ben, but I don't see why these coasters can't ride the same. I've been on plenty of clones that do just that - Back Lot Stunt Coaster, Flight of Fear, Superman:Ultimate Flight, Dark Knight, Batman The Ride - just to name a few.[/i]

When unloading guests from 'unusual' positions, they put a safety harness on the guest before releasing the restraints. Then they have two people to help catch the person to prevent injury.

At least that's what they did on 6FGAm's S:UF when they had to unload on the lift hill. In the brake run, they will manually drop the row, but they can't do that on the lift.

[tabloid reporting] OMGZ! It stalled rite ova da lion enclosure init! [/tabloid reporting]

I don't know why everyone's going on about the ride being crap. I loved it. I think it's a fun coaster with no dead spots, and is a fab addition to the park. So there!

As for the 'incident' it's yet another one of those non-stories isn't it. One of those "OMG! Roller coaster safety system works exactly as it should do!!!!!" stories. Eugh. I guess the press are obliged to make everything sound as exciting as possible, but it just as the effect of making the industry look dangerous... when they're actually givin an example of how the safety and rescue procedures worked perfectly. **** happens, it's how parks deal with it that counts.

I'm getting bored of these stories now. But, lol at the article with the stealth photo on it.

^The second part of that post makes a lot of sense. Unfortunately it was already canceled out by the lies you tell in your first paragraph.

Well said Vadge :)

I agree that it is a good coaster and I enjoy the Sunday driver pace of the ride :P

From what I've seen I deduce that the poncho train was stuck somewhere else with 3 passengers in it and for some reason the one upside down was released too slowly from a break run so it didn't have the momentum to continue and was then pushed along (by an ex coal miner lol). I could be totally wrong but I don't think anyone of the papers know the full details!
