Mountain Flyer - GCI Woodie for Knight Valley, Shenzhen

That looks so awesome. For GCI's biggest coaster yet, it looks like a winner. It looks like it's going to have a ton of those typical GCI pops of air all along the ride, and we can't forget about the castle fly through. Judging by the rest of the theming that Happy Valley does, this ride should be nothing less than spectacular theming wise.

I've just been having a bit of a look around, and found out that Knight Valley opened a couple of years ago and is part of OCT East. So, it's owned by the same people as Happy Valley, but is on the other side of Shenzhen, about 20-30 miles away.

The whole place has been built as a kind of "eco" park, is set around China's biggest seashore waterfall (300m wide and 42m high), and already includes quite a lot of rides, including a 924m long log flume (longest in the world?).

It looks absolutely gorgeous!

Anyway, here are some links:

From those pictures That place looks really good, as do all of the OCT projects that they've built so far.

Nice find Gavin. From those pictures, the setting of the park looks gorgeous. That train looks awesome the way it's decorated as well. Also, that boat ride looks really funky.

I've just renamed this and moved it from News and Rumours.

It's been a while since anything has really been mentioned about this, but GCI have some pictures on their Facebook page:

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

This looks unbelievable. This has the potential to be one of the best woodies in the world. A GCI's smooth turns and high speed plus the terra-layout instead of the compactness=sweetness.

^Or just go.

Shenzhen is an easy, one hour train journey from Hong Kong. Guangzhou is really close, too (for Chimelong Paradise plus others).

Just taking in those three cities, which are all so close to each other you could hit up quite a few major parks, not to mention the smaller parks there and even more in the surrounding areas.

Jesus. I didn't think it was as big as that. I saw the pictures on their Facebook page but I never saw the bottom image. I like the layout, sadly, I'll probably never get to ride it so will just have to wait for the POV to be released.
