Just to bring this back from the dead...
There was a question on Pointless last week about THIS!!!
It showed this image from the latest movie:
And 100 random people were asked to name as many of the Muppets on it as they could.
You really can't get a better "what the UK public really think" than that, can you?
Top was.... Miss Piggy! 98 out of 100 people recognised her. That's a clear winner.
Kermit was second with something stupid like 80. Third was... Gonzo with 30-odd.
I think Animal came in fourth with 20-something.
There was one pointless answer and I got one of the "1's". I think you'll be surprised by the pointless answer.
So anyway, the answer to this poll is actually Miss Piggy by a fair amount, even though she didn't get a single vote - just shows how out of touch CF is from the real world
