What's new

Most game-changing park additions?

I have to give this one to Outlaw Run. They have reinvented the wooden hybrid. Since the opening of Outlaw Run, RMCC has gained a large reputation in the field already having more than 5 built/planned. RMCC have definitely changed wooden coaster's direction.

I'd say Nemesis for introducing the idea of a highly themed concept combined with a high-thrill coaster. Yes, Disney had done a themed coaster way before Nemesis (and I mean proper, immersive theming, not just put some cactus and a shed around it and call it a mine train), but the introduction of Nemesis showed that rides didn't have to be slow, drawn out dark rides to be an attraction with an excellent narrative flow. It still upsets me that many parks fail to reciprocate what Nemesis did 20 years ago now, the closes I can think of is Black Mamba at Phantasialand!

+1 to Outlaw Run. RMC is really beginning to grow and more companies are starting to reach out to them.

RMC also shared this link on their Facebook page. It's conveniently the same topic as this one.

Interesting to see a lot of rides included than coasters. And was the Racer @ Kings Island really the first wooden coaster to be built in 25 years? :?
