Re: Project: Monocrome

Just spotted something weird...
The Black side only do left turns between when it starts the first incline and hitting the brakes...
Not planned at all, it just happened to be that way...

Re: Project: Monocrome

Update time!!

Now I only have the ending left to do, fortunately the worst bit of supporting is nearly done...

Re: Project: Monocrome

Re: Project: Monocrome

Am I right in guessing that only the black side will have inversions, much like Battlestar Galactica?

Re: Project: Monocrome

^ It's pretty much as Battle Star, but both sides sit-down due to NL constraints...

Last support have gone in...

Re: Project: Monocrome

The simplicity makes everything look clean. I like it a lot. Did you hand make the flanges or did you use a tool? Also, please tell me you're changing the train colors.

Re: Project: Monocrome

I spy launched lifts, unless that was mentioned already.....

also nice station.

Re: Project: Monocrome

^^ They are done with the auto-flanger as I usually do, since I'm to lazy to do them manually...
But then I remove most of them and move about the rest of them to be where they should be.
Not sure I will, since I kind of like them that way...

^ As I said very similar to BSG :p

Not quite sure how that works? :p

Anyway. I loved it. Amazingly well built. Plenty of close moments, and it's nice to have two completely different experiences rather than two similar inversion laden coasters.

Really really nice. Great work.

When I rode it on the Black side I didn't really realise how many interactions there are. I saw a few, but not as many as I did on the White side. It was great! The view of the zero-g-roll from the White train as Black train flips over the top was awesome and really well timed.

The trackwork and supports and stuff were good too (as ever :p ) and I liked the station building. Simple and really clean and sleek. It felt like it fitted with the rest of the ride nicely.

Overall, fantastic, really enjoyed it. Well done! 9/10 :D

Thanks for the reviews!!

The station building is based on the new Shinkansen Station at Shin-Tosu... :)

I can tell you haven't used AHG much :p

Great trackwork as usual, but I felt some of the interactions would have been more exciting if both sides of the tracks could see them. I couldn't really tell from the black side, but the white side revealed all. Supports were fantastic. Some of the transitions I felt were a bit on the quick side, especially that last roll. There was one transition on the white side that I could see the AHG under-banking from too high of a filter and too low of a precision. But it's your first time with AHG (that I am aware of) so it's typical. Actually if this is your first AHG track it turned out really well.

That station was impressive too. How you bend and flow random shapes together I haven't a clue, but it looks fantastic.

I loved it, personally I preferred the white side as it felt like it had a better pace, the last roll on black felt quite odd, leading into it, but overall it was really good. I liked the detail on the station and the gift shop, as well as the train house. Little details make it seem so much grander than it is.

9/10

^^ As I said, I used AHG for the first time in 6 years, and at that time I only used it once...
The tutorial I used this time covered the bases a bit, but did not explain the details any good.
As you said, I used "Bend" for the tight curves and then use "Magnet Move" to do the arcing and stuff :p

^ Thanks.
