I would like to know, would you be for or go against the removal of mind eraser at SFNE for a wing coaster? I would definitely go with that

^My first thought as well.
A B&M wing coaster would never fit into the area Mind Eraser occupies. To get one in there, the park would have to move the Route 66 antic car ride or Catwoman's Whip (or both) since Mind Eraser is flanked by those rides as well as Bizarro & Batman The Dark Knight. The terrain down to Catwoman's Whip would be great to use & there's room to move the Tivoli behind the Krazy Kars kiddie car ride in the Looney Tunes section of the park, but would the park really consider doing that?
Couldn't they just build a wing coaster along the area behind Looney Tunes? There's plenty of room all the way from behind Thunderbolt to behind Blizzard River & they could make the entrance across from Pandemonium, that way there would be no need to make any changes to the Looney Tunes area.

Protected wetlands and such.

Thanks! I've always wondered why they never expanded into that area, especially since they have the River’s Edge Picnic Grove beyond that area.

Wingrider is the most overrated and overhyped new ride model in decades. It's basically a B&M floorless with the seats bolted on the side and everyone acts like it's the return of the Messiah in rollercoaster form.

Swarm was crap, and the rest don't look particularly more inspiring. Spend the money on building an awesome B&M invert, a much more flexible and versatile model.

^ I myself don't seem to care for them. I hated Baco...like.. worst coaster ever! and I rode it some seven times to make sure it sucked! Wild Eagle was OK at best and I hated the way the OTSR straps locked up on me. X-Flight I found rather good but still wouldn't care if another one got built.

Indeed, also as far as the Groves go. They pretty much CAN'T touch them. That's like, 140 year old Riverside (SFNE being a park older than Lake Compounce down the road...) I'm pretty sure its all "historical landmark" and such.

So in answer to the OP, you'd prefer they kept the Vekoma hang&bang?

As most of the parks that have built them already had a B&M Invert, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense :p

I think the issue is that they're something new. You're right, they have taken the Floorless position in the market. They're relatively compact and offer a smooth and (compared to Intamin) high up-time low maintenance solution for a park.

It's just a problem with the industry really I think. Most parks don't have room for Hypers/Gigas (or already have them), Intamin are pushing envelopes but seem to struggle to get rides out that aren't plagued with issues and most other companies (besides Mack) just aren't producing anything great.

So it's exciting to see something new and interesting. I think The Swarm is the best coaster install in the UK since Oblivion. That doesn't mean I think The Swarm is brilliant, just that all other UK additions have been trash for a long, long time.

Then again, the majority of B&M Inverts that have been installed in the last 15 years have generally been panned too. I think the issue may be more B&M playing safe. I've not been on the US wing-riders though, so I can't really comment based on a sample of one coaster, which most people who have been on the US versions say is a very poor version of the ride type.

I don't think SFNE will get a wing rider, but its only a SLC, so i would say definatly, but i dont think its going to happen. However, i do think that KI or KD will get a wing rider. At least one of those, if not both.

You have points..........

I thought it would be cool to have a coaster that goes out onto a manmade island on the CT river, but that just couldnt happen.
