Man falls from slide @ SFHH

A man has been hospitalized after falling from a water slide at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Valencia.

Park spokeswoman Sue Carpenter said the 19-year-old made his way up Venom Drop, part of a 75-foot-high group of slides called Black Snake Summit, about 4:15 p.m. Sunday, according to KTLA-TV.

The man then passed other people in line, and went down the slide head-first on his stomach, even though protocol is to go down feet-first on the back.

He was not cleared to go down the slide by lifeguards. The man fell off the slide about halfway down and landed on the pavement, the station said.

"He just hit the concrete. ... There was a loud bang," witness Tristan Esparza told KTLA. "Everybody heard it."

The man was unconscious but breathing when he was taken to the hospital, the TV station reported. His name and condition were not released.
"He forced his way past park lifeguards and put himself and other guests at risk by going down the slide in the wrong position," Six Flags said in a statement. "Park medical staff and local paramedics were immediately called to the scene."

So this moron decides to jump the queue, the push his way past the lifeguards,dives onto the slide and flies off halfway down meeting the concrete.
What an act of stupidity, acting the big man could have cost him is life.

But yeah I am kinda sorry that he has to explain himself to the doctor as to why he was dumb enough to do something like that.

I was thinking the same thing on the YOLO part. As for the kick to the groin that seems like the most reasonable Idea I've heard yet.

He went down the wrong way. That means his center of gravity was leading and he probably flipped over or was just generally unbalanced.

The young man opted to go head first instead of feet first as intended and fell over the edge of the Venom Drop water park attraction. The 19-year-old landed on a barbed wire fence and was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The tragic accident happened on Sunday, the park’s last day of the season.

Witnesses to the water slide accident claim that the victim muscled his way past both life guards and folks waiting in line for their turn on the Venom Drop. Going head first on the Hurricane Harbor slide allegedly caused the teenager to loose his balance and fall over the side within seconds of getting into the rushing water
