London 2012 Mascots

So today on The One Show they revealed the London 2012 Mascots.

The story loosely says they were left over metal ore from a steel foundary and then a worker took them home for their grandchildren, they came to life in some weird rainbow light and became Wenlock and Mandeviile. They will travel to the Olympic Stadium in fun and games etc.

So what do you think?

After seeing the still images, I had that "Oh dear lord, this is what the whole world is looking at" thought. But after watching the video, I'm actually slightly more intrigued by them. They come across as quite cute I think, considering they're made of steel. The video's got that old fashioned British charm to it.

Ugh... Why the **** are they trying to be all cool and hip with the kids. Toss off! The shambles that is the olympics logo was bad enough. Now we have to put up with metallic one eyed sperm everywhere for the next 2 years?

Well, I'm now "following" them on both Twitter and Facebook just for the LOLS and to see whether they actually are of any benefit. So far....no.
