Re: Liseberg | "Unknown" | Preston & Barbieri family coaster

I'm assuming (probably wrongly) that it's the coaster shown in yellow in this concept image:

If so, and it actually ends up looking like that, then there's more to it than the layout posted above.

Re: Liseberg | "Unknown" | Preston & Barbieri family coaster

^ The coaster in yellow is named "Rabalder" and opened in 2009.

Re: Liseberg | "Unknown" | Preston & Barbieri family coaster

Bollocks. I looked to see if it was an existing one. Clearly I didn't look hard enough. I knew I'd be wrong.

Re: Liseberg | "Unknown" | Preston & Barbieri family coaster

That does not matter a lot though. :fadein:

The concept images aren't too clear on where it will be situated, but if you look closely just below the windmill at the top left you can see a little red string of track (not the one circling the whole area) and the house that is also displayed on the first picture.

Re: Liseberg | "Unknown" | Preston & Barbieri family coaster

Preston achieves a good portion of the market in different continents and it develops a capacity of creating, projecting and running an amusement park, in its most classical acceptation.

Re: Liseberg | "Unknown" | Preston & Barbieri family coaster

Hmm... that means something like "hopping coaster" or "skipping coaster" if I'm not mistaken. Sounds appropriate.

Re: Liseberg | Stampbanan | Preston & Barbieri family coaste

I'm a little confused. Is that fan art or was it released by the park showing that this tiny kids coaster is actually some mass dark ride coaster underground?

Re: Liseberg | Stampbanan | Preston & Barbieri family coaste

^^ Thats what it seems to be. Looks interesting to me.

Re: Liseberg | Stampbanan | Preston & Barbieri family coaste

It was released by a theming group that has worked on a couple of other projects at Liseberg.

Here are their FB Page: http://www.facebook.com/Quarryfoldstudio

I'm not sure if it's just for fun and for the imagination, or if they actually are going to be really AWESOME and build it.

Re: Liseberg | Stampbanan | Preston & Barbieri family coaste

Ah ok. I'm still a little sceptical then. Especially as images and the latest video Liseberg presented shows the coaster pretty much going in a circle. There's like an entrance to a mine but the actual coaster train can't go down it. I really hope this is Liseberg pulling a Alton style Secret weapon surprise but I'm holding off until more evidence shows that its really happening.

Re: Liseberg | Stampbanan | Preston & Barbieri family coaste

^

If they indeed pull this one of, - It's greater than any of AT's secret weapons, because they deceived us with a kiddie coaster, and this would be the least we'd expect.

It doesn't even have to be a big thrilling underground coaster, just the fact that it does a couple of extra twist and turns in there would be amazing!

But yeah, I'm skeptical too.

Re: Liseberg | Stampbanan | Preston & Barbieri family coaste

^Yeah that was what I was referring to but I couldn't be bothered to try and make a screen grab. That's why it could turn out to be an amazing red herring.
