Lightwater Valley sold

According to the article below, Lightwater has just been sold to Livingstone Lesiure, same people who own Flambards in Cornwall.

Didn't even realise the park was up for sale but hope it goes well for the new owners.

Why couldn't it have been sold to a company with a decent amount of money? A new large-scale attraction would be nice!

Because they would look at it thinking if it would be financially viable as well as there is always the problem with the uk planning rules.
In a dream world yes it would be great. But I'm sure if a deep pocketed company was to look at the uk lightwater being in the arse end of nowhere would be the last park they would look at.

Hmm, Flambards are quite a forward thinking park with who know how to make the local history. I'm not expecting anything big to happen, but LWV does fit Livingstone's portfolio quite well so I'll keep half an eye on it.
