Legoland Japan has announced an expansion for 2027 which looks like it will be very similar to the Legoland Korea expansion.

The area will include a new Mack spinning coaster (Clone of Turbulance in Adventure Land New York), A ninjago dark ride, a Gerst Sky Fly, a couple of flat rides and shops/restaurants.

This will apparently make Legoland Japan the largest of the legolands around the world (not entirely sure I believe that)

All in all a pretty substatial and decent addition to the park. These Mack Spinners seem like a solid addition and a nice break from the endless Dragon coaster (which I admit the park already has)

Just a few points of clarification:

The Gerstlauer Sky Fly is already an existing attraction at the park. This expansion will become the largest Ninjago-themed area at any LEGOLAND park—not the largest LEGOLAND park overall. Additionally, the area is currently slated for a spring 2027 opening.

This is what i get for posting after a few beers.
The expansion making it the largest Legoland Ninjago area makes waaaay more sense

Blunt question here, why is this taking 2 years?

Yeah okay, a new coaster and a big dark ride is a lot of work, along with theming up an area. But it's not like this is complex from a construction perspective, or that they're building anything groundbreakingly new?

Well who says they want to open it any faster? Japan is one of the trend-destinations and tourism is booing, perhaps they think they do not need a new attraction to pull people right now. Osaka has the expo nearby and expects millions of visitors from which the park could profit. And perhaps when visitor numbers go down, they have the new attraction ready. But that's just an idea.

Not sure if this might be a factor, but from what I understand, this is being built partially on the site of a former Expo Center/stadium. In recent history, Merlin’s timelines have typically been around two years—like with the two indoor coasters in Florida and California, and Hyperia. Though, to be fair, those projects were much larger.
