La Mer de Sable | Wild Buffalo | GCI Wooden Coaster | 2025

Looks like this little park will be getting a wood coaster of some sort, the park have released some info on their 2025 addition. Theme park magic says in their post "Wild Buffalo will be a wooden roller coaster with a top speed of 67 km/h. The project costs 5 million euros. The roller coaster will be accessible to visitors from 1.10 meters. The roller coaster will be built on a gigantic site in the theme zone "Le Désert du Nouveau-Mexique"." G forces are between 0.2G to 3G.

Interesting, might be worth stopping by when visiting parc asterix!

France seems to have a bit of a niche for wooden family coasters, with Timber and Wood express already in the country.

GCI is the manufacturer of the ride according to people at the park today and who saw the shipping labels on the lumber present at the park.

According to this local news site, the ride will also feature a 40-meter-long tunnel.

Sounds very good indeed. Their Vekoma 335m - Silver Mountain - looks really well-themed too. The park is owned by Looping Group, I see, so it'd be fantastic if they could send another GCI Pleasurewood Hills' way!

Good news!!! Thanks to France on building more woodies! I wish more parks woulg go for those smaller woodies that pack quite some punch while being quite affordable and easy to maintain. Kudosto Mer de Sable!
