Kings Dominion Removing Big Wave Bay!

The removal of this wave pool probably means a waterpark expansion, but who knows it could be something else.

Looks like Volcano isn't going to be replaced for a while.

Wave pools are something I find myself enjoying at waterparks just as much - if not a bit more - than the water slides themselves! I'm sad to see this go, but I'd imagine it will be replaced with a trapdoor slide complex similar to what's been put in at Cedar Point, Knott's Berry Farm, Carowinds, Canada's Wonderland and King's Island a few years ago.

It's not a huge loss for their waterpark since they have 2 wavepools!

They actually added that trapdoor slide tower in 2015 before any of those parks added one.

Oh, wow! I never knew that, although I visited King's Dominion in 2017. I didn't have time for Soak City, unfortunately.
