Impressive stuff from Kennywood - installing locally enhanced gravity to enable a higher top speed from the same drop is a bold move. /s

Seriously though, hope they get the kinks worked out this time. Feels like Steel Curtain has spent more time closed than open since it debuted.

2019; Opened in July, nearly halfway though the season, operated sporadically
2020; Closed (not affected by COVID)
2021; Sporadic operation
2022; Sporadic operation
2023; Sporadic operation, closed sometime in the spring
2024; Closed
2025; Opening nearly two months into the season

I was one of the lucky ones who got a front row opening weekend ride in 2019 and I haven’t been to that park since. It really has only operated for a small chunk of its life so far.

I'm the same. I happened to be traveling in the area for other business, and lucked out to be there for media day. Contacted a few people out there, and they got me in, where I rode it about 5 times. Had no idea what was in store for it later.

In a full circle moment, I'll probably be heading back there later this summer, so with some luck, it'll be like it never closed for me
