Looks like a new woodie is coming to Spain and to a park that needs a new cred.

Also this park is part of the Looping Group, so along with Mer De Sable i wonder if they have done a multi buy wood coaster deal, could we see some more woodies at their other parks?

Great to see the Looping Group investing in custom ground up coasters!

There was talk online that at the RCCGB event, Drayton stated they'd be getting a wooden coaster in the next few years. This would therefore make sense if there has been a multi buy deal... could see it coming for 2027.

Oh wow, didn't realise this was Looping Group as well. They have good taste. One at Drayton would be good, but one at Pleasurewood, especially, would make my day.
 
That literally came out of nowhere? I am excited to see how the first Spanish GCI turns out. Hopefully, as Projektion mentioned, it will feature Titan track, as heat can be brutal down South, and we can see how the Spanish wooden coaster have aged over time under the blazing sun.

I am not surprised by the coaster having one train. Isla Magica is well known for having poor operations, and even on packed days their SLC only runs one train.
 
Looks great (although I'm a bit concerned about the throughput) but surely a budget of €2.7m can't be correct - it's got to be at least 3x that for a ride of this scale, over water, right?

Maybe €2.7m is the cost of the coaster materials alone, not counting assembly? They're also only getting a single train, which would cut the budget down more than you might think.
 
Maybe most other parks grossly exaggerate the cost of their new investments? Who knows…

I think this will be a great addition for Isla Magica. I visited in the summer and was really pleasantly surprised by the park. Despite the lack of any recent additions whatsoever, it was well maintained and had a good feel to the place. The water rides were by far the most popular attractions in the Sevilla heat and they are certainly lacking in coasters, so this will help fill a gap there.

Having only the one 16-person train doesn’t sound great for capacity but it didn’t seem like a park that sees huge crowds / queues outside of the water park and water rides, so probably makes sense for them.
 
For the record, this appears to be a White Lightning variant. The lift, station, and brakes are slightly rearranged and the 90 degree turnaround turns the opposite direction.

Now...will this have Millennium Flyers or Infinity Flyers?
 
This looks like a fantastic addition for Isla Magica.

I'd be very surprised if this was actually a single train coaster as there does appear to be a station and brake run building so it could allow for two train operations.

Whether it's Looping Group only buying one train initially to see how it operates is a different matter 🤔
 
I've almost been to Seville at least twice, so this makes me glad that I didn't get there.
 
Weirdly excited by this. I made a thread a while ago about this place, I've always been confused why a city park, with good attendance, a great selection of supporting rides was reliant on a cronky old SLC as it staple attraction. I think I came to the conclusion the park was landlocked, had unambitious owners and simply didnt need to grow. This is a nice step and a nice nice addition to some otherwise stagnant spanish parks.

What you said is true. Besides, the nearest decent park is 200 miles away from IM, which is Parque Warner. No competition means no need for investment, since people don't really have a choice and don't know better. They rely on locals and school trips.

Back in 2007, the park was supposed to get a Vekoma Mine Train (a clone of Calamity Mine) named 'Río Tinto', themed to some regional mines, but the plans fell through with no explanation. Heck, they even had banners announcing the project!

It will take more than this little wooden coaster to rescue the park from their coaster drought, but it's a step in the right direction. I am intrigued to see how this project turns out, because as lovely as this coaster looks on a lake, it doesn't really make sense in terms of maintenance, for visual insepctions and because wood just does not age well in hot climates, and operationally, in terms of ride evacuations, if needed. Moreover, buying a coaster with just one train is a short-sighted decision, IMO.
