What's new

Ahh, to be honest, I don't think the chances of these migrating to other parks is likely, solely for the fact that most of the other parks, bar 1/2 have something very similar in terms of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad & Haunted Mansion/Phantom Manor. The only way in which this would be possible is for removal/revamps of the said attractions or new parks being constructed.

Maybe the park they are building in China that probably about it.

The Shanghai park is due to open in 2015 some time, so, if they do, they'd have to wait until 2 years after the park opening to add these two new areas. I actually don't think this is going to happen, which is good. I like how certain parks have their own little unique elements to add to the Disney Experience, instead of the whole "Park-Wide" generic ride list.

I just realised something, isn't it the Hong Kong Disney that had to turn people away as it reached capacity on many occasions? Yet they stick in an Intamin Half Pipe coaster...?

The queue gets bad enough at WDS...

It is which is why they are expanding. This park seemed to take ages to take off and expand.

They never do do they, always start off small and expand.

The new one in China has next to no big attractions when it open which is why I think they would get these attractions later.

All I've ever heard about Hong Kong is great park but not enough there. It's just taken them longer than other parks to expand.

That, and the "massive crowds being turned away at the gates with children being thrown over the fence" only happened in the first year, before the management learned the vacation patterns.

The park is far less crowded most of the year.

Would someone please list the huge amount of rides either of the American parks opened with...

Yeah, I'm 95% sure that DLP didn't open with, for instance, Space Mountain, and it was built a few years later?

The land amount doesn't really count for anything since the lands in the other parks all had like, one thing in them...

A large land with stuff in is going to be the same amount as loads of land with nothing in them...

Basically, Hong Kong was a risk not matter what - the fact they went for larger lands over smaller lands doesn't mean anything. If anything, the fact they really haven't left room for these new lands and the park is going to have a really dodgy layout says to me they weren't entirely planned out!

The park has plenty of land...so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

I'm talking about the way it's laid out not the fact they really don't have much room. Maybe if you'd been you'd know more about it... I didn't mention the size of the park itself... maybe if you had read my post?

And the rest of your post really doesn't make sense because Hong Kong really isn't as dramatically different to the American parks as you are making out. Again I feel this is something you might understand more if you had been there. But, whatever.

Quick question, the problem with this HK Disney, is the lack of rides, so how come they're building new area's for new rides, as appose to adding new rides to the current area's (ala DLP adding Space Mountain and Indiana Jones at a later date)?

Because the areas they do have are full of rides already?

It really doesn't lack rides compared to any of the other Disney parks when they opened - it just happens that we are now in a society where we can sit here and talk about it on the Internet so we actually notice it?

If the net had been around when the other parks opened I'm sure we'd have been having the same conversation...

UC, you really aren't the only one who sees parks as businesses you know...

And your post doesn't make sense because it is in no way related to the original point... But OK. I guess you just wanted another chance to act like you're the only one who sees parks as businesses...

Oh right, its just your post at the top of page 2 made it sound like there wasn't much there, thats all.

Wait - so you were justifying that your view of them being a business is greater than mine, because you took a TPR trip the park? See, I thought you were just trying to say, again, that you've been to an asian park that most of us haven't...oh wait.

And yes, I did address the questions posted, numerous times. You're really the only one that doesn't understand it, so I guess I can live with that.

Well, once I've worked out what that post would have said were it written by someone with a grip on the English language... Maybe you are channeling the Asians we're discussing?

Are you suggesting I went on a TPR trip to Disneyland Hong Kong? Alright. That's wrong.

And there wasn't a question to answer? I made a statement, no questions were involved. So, yeah, alright UC. Take it the meds are wearing off?

So, you talking about TPR trips that I 'went on' wasn't personal?

Alright UC, go with this pattern again. Throw the first bit of shade and then cry when I respond.

Hong. Kong. Was. Not. A. TPR. Trip.

I'm not sure what part of this you are not understanding?
