peep

CF Legend
It was announced recently that Holiday Park in Germany has purchased a Gerstlauer Sky fly flat ride. It will be replacing the Bounty Tower attraction that was taken down during the Winter break.

Did one of these in Australia and it was complete turd. It's really difficult to get a good flip.

Much prefer the version with several arms, with only 2 planes on each. I'm assuming they're also Gerst...

I found it easy to get a flip on these, especially if you're sat at the front seat...

I'm with Jordan on the subject of the park's quality...

I totally agree with the bad quality of the park! And it doesn't help that I personally find EGF an average ride...

But: it seems like the new owners are putting in a lot of effort with revamping the park! They've added some nice theming and continously added new rides the last couple of years. I think I might like this place a bit better when I take the time to revisit :)

Yes, the one with two planes per arm is Gerstlauer as well. But Technical Park has a similar model with one plane per arm called the "aerobat".

Better, but not enough to stop the park being total ****.

Have you been recently? I went twice last year after my first visit in 2012. It's actually a good park now - even looking past EGF. SkyScream has instilled the park with a new energy, as has the new entrance and the jazzy retheme for the log flume. It's actually an enjoyable place to spend a day, and it now has a bit of heart and soul.

I think it gets a bad deal because it's only an hour and a half from EP.

Yeah, I really liked the park. It felt relaxed. Admittedly the weather was great and the park quiet which helps, but I had a good time there. The entrance and first area looked lovely even, and I liked how it's so forest-y. My biggest complaint is that there aren't enough big rides yet, but EGF is fantastic and it has a couple of solid supporting rides too. Enough for me to spend the day, and this ride will add to that.

That said, the operations, staff and the wild mouse are all horrendous.

I went in October, it was **** awful. I left at 1pm after getting the creds. The log flume was a definite highlight. Expedition Ge Force was overrated, SkyScream was AWFUL and just sits there sticking out like a sore thumb (and the theming feels very Merlin-ish) and the rest of the park just felt...empty? There's not enough attractions by half, and that was with multiple re-rides on EGF WITH a queue. I'd never been before and this was my first impression, the park is dire.

I also HATE that Plopsa theming, so plastic and soulless <//3

And I disagree that it gets a bad rep for being so close to EP, it gets a bad rep because there's NOTHING THERE. Thematically it's vulgar which, compared with the beautiful Tripsdrill just down the way is just so jarring. Awful place.

Can't find any interesting construction photos, but they are working on this ride now. Apparently it will open at the first of July. I might stop by the park on my way home after Tripsdrill, so I could get some photos (and a couple of re-rides on EGF <3).

Ooh yay, that should mean it'll be open by August when I'm going :).
Been wanting to ride one of these - great fun to watch aswell!

Yes, it will open very soon. Media days are planned. And maybe there will be a spinning competition too. Who knows ;)
