GCI. CGI coasters are the ones you see in movies.
The average park goer doesn't know who RMC is so it's not going to matter to them if it's made by GCI or RMC. Therefore, picking GCI isn't going to make the ride any more "special" to the park. If anything, it's more risky due to their inexperience with this type of coaster.
Yeah, I can almost guarantee that GCI probably submitted a proposal. It's not very common for parks to approach one manufacturer when building a large coaster. Often, they will put out a Request for Proposal (RFP) to several companies. For almost any large coaster, it's a safe assumption that there were 1-3 other proposals submitted that were really interesting but will never see the light of day.What I didn't think of, was that there could as well be a proposal made. That is a good possibility.
I am just very curious what GCI is able to do.

One of the company’s first projects was the Wildcat at Hersheypark, which will close at the end of the month, “There was competition with myself and another competitor on redoing what they have with a new type of track, the steel track. I felt pretty positive I was going to get the project but I was told I did not get the job. It’s sad. These are part of my children the way I look at it. But this isn’t the first time this has happened to me.”
AgreedThey should have let GCI do this one and have RMC do Lightning Racer
Jesus, surely there will be more diagonal bracing on that huge overbank! I imagine the lateral sway there will be immense otherwise. Looking huge!With the underflip finished, they’re moving breezily to work on… well, the rest of the layout. No sign of the lift hill yet though;

There is quite a bit of bracing on the inside of the turn from the original first drop. You can also see that they've added members that that run up to the bottom of the track's steel bracing. Those members appear to be black so I'm guessing they are also steel.Jesus, surely there will be more diagonal bracing on that huge overbank! That's not a good POV ("looks slow"?) - I'm sure the ride will be great but that POV ain't selling it for me!
It’s weirdly nauseating the way it slows the video during the valleys and speeds it up during the rolls at the end which I expect to be much slower and floatier IRLThat's not a good POV ("looks slow"?) - I'm sure the ride will be great but that POV ain't selling it for me!
