Gigs 'n' Tours

^ Glad you linked me to that, he actually played that track in his solo set, i've been meaning to look up some more of his stuff but haven't got round to it yet, cheers.

Saw No Trigger and Heartsounds on Monday in Manchester, both bands were great. Really good pop-punk with lots of shout outs and singalongs.

Thin Lizzy was very good. Guns N Roses started 90 minutes after Thin Lizzy with a loud chorus of boos but they were brilliant. Videos soon...........

Saw Blink 182 on Thursday (with support from Four Year Strong and the All American Rejects).

I was expecting All American Rejects to be terrible, but almost all the songs they played filled me with nostalgia for my mid-teens. Made me feel really old, too. The lead singer has such a horrendous voice though. He sounds like that nerdy teenager from the Simpsons. You know, the "Mister Terwilliger? It happened again..." one.

Blink 182 weren't half bad, either. I'm just glad they didn't play too much from Neighbourhoods, as I'm not a huge fan of it, and they stuck mostly to their classics. Rock Show live was fantastic, and it was another song that left me pining for the glory days.

Still think Angels and Airwaves are better (both musically and as a live band), though.

I went watching Blink too last night. My god, they were VERY good indeed. It was such a laugh, one of the best live performances I've ever seen, the crowd was all off their tits, making it absolutely hilarious.

AAR were fantastic live too, great and just crazy on stage, asking people about their "Biccy Wiccy's" (biscuits).

Twin Atlantic also supported, I didn't know too much about them before hand, they certainly made me want to watch them again though.

Pearl Jam at the Manchester Arena tonight. 2.5 hours of proper rock music.

First saw them in Manchester >20 years ago in a small shed in Longsight (the "International 2" if anyone remembers it, long gone now), seen 'em in a few arena shows over the years.

Jeremy / Alive / Rockin' in the Free World (Neil Young cover) to close the gig, they overran the curfew so the venue put the house lights on, but they kept on playing anyway.

Top stuff...

Madame_Furie is jealous, I could just never really get into them no matter how much I tried :(

That sounds epic. I am so jealous :p

Awkward moment at the Cheryl Cole "gig" where she performed Call My Name. Then the club played it straight after she left the stage. And it sounded exactly the same.

Seeing a real artist tomorrow night. Much more exciting.
