Just appeared on Valley Mania's top banner this morning, Project Druppel. Nothing known at the moment, but could be a few new rides.

Edit: topic title changed to speculate what will happen in the future.

Re: Lightwater Valley | Project Druppel - 2013

Things like this could go unoticed by sticking them straight in here, its definitely more news/rumours than actual construction, surely?

Re: Lightwater Valley | Project Druppel - 2013

Was about to say that Marc. Hopefully everything worth riding you missed

Actually, if LWV took on all the coasters from Camelot, they'd have one of the largest collections of coasters in a park in the UK surely?

And moved to news and rumours until we know what it is :)

Re: Lightwater Valley | Project Druppel - 2013

Thing is, is there really anything worth taking from Camelot? (In LWV's eyes)

Knightmare possibly, but very big and they probably wouldn't get planning permission. Whirlwind - yes and no, they already have a spinning coaster (yes its crap, but still...)

Then what..... Log Flume, possibly, but if they wanted a small flume they would have got the one from Loudoun... Excalibur, surely not?

They already have a Caterpillar coaster, pirate ship and dinghy slide. The only rides I could see them going for are these:

Re: Lightwater Valley | Project Druppel - 2013

Furie, I was speaking to the operations manager yesterday, they are in talks with Camelot, and more then likely the Tractor ride is going to open.

Edit: Druppel is dutch and in English it means Droplet. Dunno how much we can take from that...

Re: Lightwater Valley | Project Druppel - 2013

So something wet then. Good, I feel like LWV could use a more permanent kind of water ride. I really miss Toad in the Hole haha! The rapids just look gross in my opinion, and whilst the water slides are very good they need something more substantial.

Speaking of Camelot, I think Knightmare will get shipped overseas personally. I really don't think it will stay in England.

Re: Lightwater Valley | Project Druppel - 2013

I suppose they could get the Log Flume from either Camelot or Loudoun, and just modify it themsleves. After all, so long as they get hold of the mechanics, the rest of the ride is just a metal trough which they could easily make themselves.

I wont get any hopes up just yet though; they didn't have the money to finish building the tractor ride, and last thing we heard, all their money was going into that holiday village.

Re: Lightwater Valley | Project Druppel - 2013

According to someone on Valley Mania, this is a (Valley Mania) website project, nothing to do with the park. :(

Re: Lightwater Valley | Project Druppel - 2013

Hang on, back track... they didn't finish the tractor ride? I didn't realise that! So it's just sat there, half finished?

Re: Lightwater Valley | Project Druppel - 2013

Nathan on Valley Mania said:
Druppel is not related to any future attractions at Lightwater Valley, and is, as people have guessed, a project of our own.

We'll have more details on Druppel in the near future

So nothing really. I will change the topic to LWV future

So, essentially, there's no news then?

Which means there's no topic to be had.

Which means we'll get a couple of pages of "I think they should get..." based on entirely less than nothing.

Which means...
