FREE .3ds Designer For Mac

So for the longest time I could not create custom scenery because the only program for mac was google sketch up pro, which cost over $600. Today I was going over their site and realized they offer older versions of sketch up pro for free. I just downloaded it so i don't know what the design capabilities are, but it is compatable with no limits!!! I don't know if you guys already knew of this, but I had never seen anything that worked for mac before. I've added the link to the download page below

Wings 3D is also free...

Another thing, when NL2 is released, 3ds is probably still compatible, but you have the option to use Lightwave objects which Sketchup can't.

Autodesk Maya is also free for students
