Day 2- Arrivals and Lake Compounce
Day 2 started off pretty rough for a couple of reasons. Thankfully, I had a nice twelve hour sleep, so I wasn’t tired, but it was raining out and I had to use a shared hostel bathroom. Things started looking up during breakfast, which was an awesome cafeteria style breakfast with things like eggs, oatmeal, sausage, etc. Despite the fact that we wanted to look around Boston for a few hours more before the Brits arrived, we decided to sit on the computer in the lobby because it was pouring out. Instead, we both ended up falling asleep on the couches. I realized the rain wasn’t going to let up, so I decided to suck it up and endure the walk to the subway station, which really wasn’t that far.
We knew it was going to be a long wait at the airport, but our choices were to sit in a lobby with no wifi, or go to an airport with wifi. Soon enough, AJ and Jordan got in contact with us and made their way to the airport. When they joined us, we had quite a few laughs including the Aristocats man and that STUPID chime thing, which wasn’t much of a laugh, but rather, an annoyance. When everyone finally got to the airport, we gave hugs and were on our way! AJ made good use of the rental car…
After the big struggle trying to find the entrance, we were making our way into the park. I don’t think I’d ever been so eager to ride a coaster in my life! I did not want to stop for anything. I did stop to take a picture of the entrance, though.
The walk to Boulder Dash seemed to take ages, but we eventually made it!

The other cars had already arrived and ridden it, and a couple of people didn’t look extremely impressed, so I was nervous that it wasn’t going to live up to my expectations. Sadly, I was right. Apparently it wasn’t running well, but it did get progressively better throughout the night and it did eventually make it into my top ten, but not my top five. I don’t understand why people bum it so much, but I guess I have to ride it when it’s running at its full potential to make a judgment.

And a lovely picture of my babes, AJ.
After riding Boulder Dash, we went to get the other credits. Wildcat was hilariously bad, but strangely enjoyable. Zoomerang was about as awesome as a Boomerang can get without the new restraints, with its awesome colours being a bonus!
Then, we rerode Boulder Dash for the rest of the night.
Then as I was leaving the park, AJ made a hilarious phone call to my mom which was one of the highlights of the day <3 DO YOU HAVE ANY HAGGIS?! We were all pretty hungry by the time we left the park so we had one of MANY Subways that night. I strayed from my usual roast beef and decided on the buffalo chicken, which was pretty good, but I’m still sad that no other country besides Canada has sub sauce!
Our first hotel of the add-on was the Bradley hotel. Quite spiteful , and quite smelly
.
The end!
