The Grape Wizard

Hyper Poster
What it says in the title really, what it your favourite coaster and what is your favourite ride they have manufactured

Mine is intamin, and, hmm, probably mavarick

Has to be B&M. The majority of my top coasters are manufactured by them, as well as Khan which is simply the most exhilirating thing I've sat my ass on to

Being that I have not been to a great number of parks and Cedar Point doesn't have the best B&M coasters, I would have to say Intamin AG. Love Maverick. It is everything that you could ask for in a coaster.

It was right at the bottom of the search if you only search in this forum. But it didn't have a poll and it was really old, so I didn't bother posting a link. Plus, I'm not a wannabe mod.

I say B&M.

Probably B&M as they make more consistent good coasters.
Bt Intamin AG made my favourite coaster which is Expedition GeForce.

I haven't ridden many rides, as my coaster count is very low, but based on my top ten, I'm saying B&M.

Overall, they're smooth and very thrilling, and bringing in some new designs and elements into the mix (and using some of them a lot).

Im getting Déjà Vu :|

B&M are like the Merc / BMW of the coaster world. They are the better company.

I actually prefer Intamin rides at the moment though.

The Déjà Vu is from the topic I made which is at the bottom of the topic page if you press back. Oh well, it was old anyway.

Your right about BM being the BMW because that's the best description.

I find that Intamin coasters are most innovative ATM but seeing as my top 10 consists of 8 BMs I have to go with BM.

Well my favorite is not listen so poo to this poll Schwarzkopf.

Every single one of their coasters that I have been on has ticked all my boxes.

Out of the list its still B&M for me, but they need to up their game and stop making sloppy no force coasters and go back and take a look at Kumba and Dragon Khan.

Well I've never ridden any of their prefab woodies, or any of the mega lites, or any of the good rocket coasters, but already, just from EGF and the awesome drop towers they make (is apoc/HC intamin?) I'm fairly sure Intamin is my favourite... but they're all good for different things - mack has one of the largest variety of concepts, B+M s good at positive G force, gertslauer is good for being cheap but thrilling etc...

Haven't seen this topic for ooohhhhh, weeks!

Intamin for me. They've had a few duds, sure (those god-awful half pipes for example), but so has every other manufacturer. If you include their flat rides and water rides, too, that pushes them right up to the top of the pile.

B&M are great, but nothing they've been building recently has made me think, "oh wow!" It's all pretty much more of the same for the last few years. Definitely up there as a very close 2nd to Intamin though.

It's no secret that I've got a real soft spot for Togo. No, they're not the best manufacturer, not by a long way, but I find a lot of their coasters to be really fun, quirky, with a lot of personality.

Vekoma take a lot of crap, but I can honestly say I've never really disliked any of their coasters. There's a lot of "meh" in there, sure, but nothing I've completely hated. Maybe I've just been lucky and haven't ridden one of those really rough slcs/boomerangs I keep hearing about.

Arrow. I'm pretty much on the fence with them. Loved Eagle Fortress and Fantasia Special, liked a few others, hated their old corkcrews. Anyway, they're gone now, which makes me pretty much forget about them when these topics come up "occasionally."

GCI, CCI, Gravity Group. I think from all 3 of these manufacturers, I've only ridden Megafobia. Loved that, but not going to pass judgement based on one coaster

Gerstlauer Just realised I've only ridden Troublesome Trucks. I'll be in more of a position to judge this summer.

Maurer Sohne. Again, I need to ride more. They seem to make the best spinners (Intamin's Comet Express excepted), but that's not saying much. I loved Venus, though. Definitely one of my favourite loopers. Too bad they only ever built one.

Mack. Kings of the powered coaster, and manufactured my favourite mine train, Gran Montserrat. Again, need to try more.

S&S. Only tried Dodonpa. I still to this day can't decide if I actually liked it though. Such a weird one. I can never get excited by S&S. Don't know why.

Pinfari. Their coasters can be fun, in an "oh ****, what the hell is going on" kind of way, but absolutely zero to make me label them as "good."

Huss. Their Giant Frisbees are great, but Intamin's Gyro Swings beat them slightly, mainly on having more comfortable seats. Not much in it though. Otherwise, I'm not impressed be Huss. The suspended top spin is ok, but I'm sick of the regular model. Plus, they make the WORST drop towers on the planet, bar none.

^Didn't you ride Eejanaika? That's S&S as far as I remember.

Intamin for me. Not only do their coasters look good, they ride good as well. At least the two I've been on.

^Nope. Eejanaika was a few weeks from opening when I was at Fuji-Q. On my last trip to Tokyo, I skipped it because I was more interested in trying out new parks.

I'm sure I'll be riding it sometime in April/May though.

This list will be pretty close to what Gavin just posted, but whatever...

Arrow - Have made a few awesome coaster, but their standard loop-screws are crap and so are their hypers.
B&M - They are all the same to me, even though some of their older stuff are pretty nice, like Pyrenees and the Batman inverts.
GCI - Haven't really ridden one of these, but Thunder Coaster have received some work from them, and I have to say that they have made it worse, so until I ride one that they have made from scratch then I don't like them.
Gerstlauer - Have made a decent number of good small-medium coasters, all of those I have ridden are great fun.
Gravity Group - Haven't ridden any.
CCI - Same as GG.
Huss - Have done some great flats in the past, but there are just so many of them and I have gotten slightly bored with them. Zamperla for instance pawns their Frisbee's.
Intamin AG - My number one company, likes all the stuff I have ridden of them, (OK so the old woodies are pretty bad), alsy they have made some of the best flat rides I have ridden.
Mack - Nothing really special about them, lots of mice's, water-coasters, and smaller flats, but if they succeed with their Blue Fire coaster then there might be a big upswing in their rides catalogue.
Maurer Sohne - Nothing really special to me X-cars are pretty bad and the mouses are pretty standard. The spinners are pretty fun though, oh and the old collaborations with Schwarzkopf are ace, I'm just a bit bummed that I have only ridden one of those.
Pinfari - Meh.
S&S Power - I love Dodonpa, Eejanaika is pretty awesome, and their Falken is pretty awesome.
Togo - Have made a bunch of great rides, both flats and coasters. Some of them are really awesome but there is a few that is a bit worse.
Vekoma - Have a range of rides that ranks from great to rubbish. A lot of clones which most are pretty rubbish.

Meisho - The most mediocre company there is, all their coasters are pretty bad.
Schwarzkopf - Not on your list, but are well worth a mention since his coasters are awesome.

Intamin, because they seem to produce the most quality stuff, consistently as well. Also, if you look at my top five, four of them are Intamin so that says something.

My favourite Intamin coasters:

1. Toro
2. Maverick
3. Ka / Draggy

My favourite has to be Intamin, simply because of the huge airtime on their awesome hypers and Pre-Fab woodies!

My personal favourite is B&M. They build some of the best and most reliable coasters in the world, My number 1 and 2 coasters are both B&M (Nemesis and Khan)
Although as has been said over the past few years it has been more of the same. Sure they have added more elements to the Dive Machines and Flyers but thats about it. Also the newer B&M coasters seem to lack the raw intensity of some of the earlier models which is a shame. :(

2. Close second for me is Intamin, their accelerators are good but unreliable but their Pre-fabs are out of this world. I have only ridden Colossos and its my No. 3 overall coaster and makes all the other woodies that I have ever ridden look like big apple kiddy coasters

3. Vekoma, purely for the Disney coasters. BTMR, Expedition Everest, Rock n Rollercoaster and Space Mountain are all world class. Shame they have also made crap like X:/NWO.

4. Maurer Sohne, their spinners are class Dragons Fury, Spinball and Crushs Coaster are all excellent. However can't say the same about their X-cars as G-force sucked. Although Abismo is meant to be much better. I am looking forward to how Hollywood rip ride and Rockit! Turns out as it is quite a big project for them and could put MS on the map.
