^Blue Tornado was gash: easily one of the worst along with Limit, El Condor and that POS in Canada. Kumba was **** ing vile an' all.
The Kumali clones are rubbish as well. The one in Beijing was marginally better than Shenzhen and Mingoland, but I think that's down to it being practically new when I rode it and some nicer landscaping. It's the layout on those that are crap though.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: the regular SLC layout is so much better than the Kumali layout. There are just too many rough examples of the type and it takes away from that. When you get a smoother one - Vortex and, to a lesser extent, F2 Fright Flight spring to mind - then you can actually see that the layout is really a lot of fun.
I actually really liked Blue Fire. Call me weird but I don't find it rough at all (then I don't have an issue with Saw either) and thought the layout was pretty good fun. I rode it before I was a proper enthusiast and had all these stupid preconceptions about how certain rides will suck and I loved it.
The only other SLC I've ridden was the modified one at Suzhou Amusement Land which Wasn't a bad ride either, had a couple of slow moments but didn't find it rough at all.
