I suppose now the park has wristbands, PTR's are do able, as its not just going on the odd ride here and there! And I thought I'd post this due to the Live later in the year, so though's who haven't been, can see.
I think the £17 for the wristbands is good value, if all rides are open. I dont think I'd bother if JO wasn't open. But still, even single rides on JO are only £3, bargain!
Anywho, nice to see some small improvements around the park for this year. Still a mess though, but better.
It was odd seeing the park without the massive Absolutely Isane standing proud!
Looks better without it though, as it was rotting away.
They've brought in one of them games companies to run all the games stalls. It is an improvement as the stalls before looked a mess, at least there's a bit of professionalism about them now.
Wristbands seem to be more popular this year, with small queue's becoming quite common. Before hand, it would be a rarity to see a full train!
Busy busy busy!
Fantasy Flume has also had a lot of work for this year. Lots of fresh new paint and new boats.
The inside of the Pyramid is fantasticly themed!
With some good dark rides too!
Re-rides on JO is just crazyness. Starts to hurt after a while though....
GET IN!
There's some interesting news about the Fantasy Mouse. Apparently, in June, its being taken down, and sent away to be re-painted and all electrics re-done etc. Whilst thats taking place, the old McDonalds building behind it, is being knocked down, and when the Mouse returns, it being placed there, creating an extention to the Amusment park!
New look Volcano, or Volcanic Impact, or Volcanic Eruption, or what ever its bloody called!
A lot of the market stalls have been removed from the front. Massive improvement, as you're actually able to walk around here now!
A few JO shots...
Awsome skyline!
Volcano is looking much better this year, just a shame the towers still a bit ugly. Looks odd with nothing at the top.
A few night pics:
So in general, the park is improving, at a slow pace.
A few tips for the live; Anyone of an 'adult' build WILL get soaked through on Dragon Mountain Descent (indoor water slide).
The further back on JO, the better. Seriously, the front is naff, good views though. And brace yourself on the sidewinder, as thats the real 'headbanger' moment. Apart from that, its mainly just rattly and bumpy. Still freakin awsome though!
Go on MC before JO. Its not that bad really, but after riding JO, it does feel like a kiddie coaster.
Hope you enjoyed reading!
