Faarup Sommerland | Orkanen | Vekoma SFC

Re: Faarup Sommerland announces new rcoaster for 2013!

The park has posted this picture on their FB page saying that they're almost done with draining the lake and that soon they are gonna pour concrete.

Its not SLC, if it doesn't have any inversions...

According to RCDB, these coasters are known as SFC's.

I must say, I do like the look of this. Goes quite fast and appears to have a number of heavily banked turns that could be quite forcefull.

It definitely looks more interesting than the standard SFC model anyway, which is basically a suspended version of the large Rollerskater.

Yep, schoolboy error and force of habit on my behalf. Changed.

Small station building, but it looks nice. Falken's station looks like a factory hall on the inside, I know Farup van do much better, let's hope they follow their recent theming level (lynet <3)

^ According to Faarup, it is the station. But I agree it looks odd for a station compared to the track and landscape of the picture.

The park has now also released a logo, which I personally think is a bit half-rushed.

I've always wondered why I kept going back to Denmark in 2008 and 2009, and it wasn't because the rides were all really good or the parks were really cheap. But the whole experience especially at Farup and Djurs was great, they both seem to keep adding the right stuff to their parks, and this fits in really nicely.

Sad if they are losing the speedboats, but you can't have everything.

That logo is possibly one of the cheapest I've seen. The black stroke on the lettering is dreadful, they really should have just expanded the path and took it away from the outside vortex, creating an "Invisible" stroke.

The trampolines were a far better option, to watch anyway :)
