Well, not really. On coaster forums, sure, but other than us lot I'd say that the vast majority of people would have no idea about manufacturers and will automatically, probably rightly, too, put the fault with the park.
Rides have components that are placed under a lot of stress, they will fail if not maintained properly

He was probably aiming that comment towards other parks who would look to use Intamin for a new ride etc, as appose to the park guests.
