Energylandia | Formula 1 | Vekoma launched

JKM

Mega Poster
Energylandia is starting construction of their new, 7nth coaster. It will be custom designed launch Coaster with Vekoma's new generation train. On rcdb.com we can find that the length is 1,640.4 ft and speed about 50 mph.

Here are the visualistions from Mayan ( Vekoma SLC ) press conference and Formula 1 construction fence :

As we can see there are at lest two inversions ( corkscrew and immelman ) and tunnel.
But there is thing about Energylandia- they are changing all plans and datas, so this images could not reflect F1 Vekoma's project ( platform station on one picture has no roof, on other has it )
For example on EL webpage 2016 coaster is still named a blue fire clone, as they wanted to build this coaster in 2015, but Mack refused to do it.

Looks like a nice little coaster. It's good to see that the park is getting something unique after all the clones. It's a shame that Mack refused to build them a launcher, but then again, the original Blue Fire isn't that overly far from Poland and I can imagine a lot of Polish people already riding it...

The problem is that the average salary in Poland is like two times smaller than in most other EU countries. The similar thing is that our currency is 1/4 of Euro, so common Polish citizen earns about 1/6 of Germans salary. So the only chance to ride a big coaster for us is to have one in Poland :)
When I was in Europa Park few times I heard a lot of guests speaking in my language, in Heide Park 15 % of customers was always Polish people, but they are wroking and living in Germany. So Schengen and small distance is not solution of the problem for most of Poles :)

Anyway, Mack refused to build a blue fire clone in 2015, because they already had a full schedule for this year. Energylandia made a request for coaster too late. They could not wait till 2016, since most of EL project is financed with EU funds, and they got to spend few milions for coaster for '15. So they pick 2 or 3 Vekomas coasters instead of 1 or 2 Mack's ones. The amount of rides in park increased but the quality... you know.

EDIT:

There are newest visualisations :
We can see the great platform station

And clever launch part of the track terminated by... entrance to loop or vertical hill.

This is pretty cool and exciting because for the first time, Vekoma are building a coaster with inversions that uses a different kind of track to their usual skeleton like one which as everyone already knows, tends to create rough as **** rides.

The Cylon side of Battlestar Galactica uses it and goes upside down, albeit it's an invert, so you're halfway correct. ;)

Ohh I didn't know that was Vekoma! It looks like a really fun coaster, I'd love to hear what people think of it but I don't think many CFers apart from maybe Gavin have rode it.

This looks like a fun little coaster! If Vekoma keeps using this track instead of their crap Arrow-esque track, then MAYBE they'd become a better manufacturer.

Now if only they can incorporate this into the SLC and Boomerang(all 3 versions)...

^ Thats a useless thing to say.. Vekoma are a premium manufacturer, up their with the likes of Intamin and B&M. They're one of the most innovative companies out their and its stupid to say that they should become a better manufacturer. A lot of the latest technologies have come thanks to Vekoma.

^ They may be innovative but I wouldn't class them as a "premium" manufacturer, or group them with B&M and Intamin. They are in the middle with Mack/Gerst IMO, and they are those 2 have come up with some amazing rides. Of all the Vekoma creds around only the GIBs and Colorado Adventure are worthy of a re ride.

Well, to be scoring Disney contracts time and time again, I think that status alone classes them as a premium company. Vekoma are extremely high profile, at the high end of the pricing spectrum and last for absolute years. Don't forget, they're not new at any of this and don't just produce coasters. Their parent company is one of the worlds leading steel fabricator and bridge specialist, I really wouldn't put them anywhere else other than a premium brand of roller coaster. Just because their earlier stuff is rough, doesn't mean they're rubbish. Every company starts somewhere.

^I think you might be at cross purposes with each other. I don't think DelPiero means that they're not a highly successful, innovative and stable manufacturer, I think he simply means that they don't quite have the quality of B&M.

I think an analogy would be:
Vekoma = Vauxhall
B&M = Rolls Royce
Vauxhaull make good cars, they have done for many years, and they will do for years to come. They're decent quality, well engineered, but they're relatively run-of-the-mill. However you try to look at it, Vauxhall cars aren't "premium" in the way that Rolls Royce cars are.

To my mind, Intamin are somewhere in the middle - they're not the staple that Vekoma is, but they're not the true quality that B&M is. To continue the analogy, they're like the BMWs of the world.

I think that's what he's trying to say - and I agree with him. If he's not, then I agree with you.

Yeah Hixee grasped it.

To me, they seem to be playing it safe, there's nothing world class about the actual coasters, they are inoffensive generally. You could take nearly any manufacturer's coaster and dress it up with Disney Imagineering and it will be brilliant, but good for Vekoma, having the Disney contract is great for them.

I've only ridden 1 that's been recently built(less than 5 years old), but will reserve judgement on their recent products until Paultons opens their 2 new ones.

This park just keeps pushing their coasters. It's either smart to spread the costs, or stupid in that it'll take longer to complete.

Energylandia just released new info about formula 1 :
Lenght- 560 m
Height- 25 m
Speed- 80 km/h

So now we are waiting for details about inversions :)

Vekoma's Facebook page recently posted a layout:

Looks like a nice layout, featuring 3 inversions. The hill after the second inversion looks a bit odd though?

Looks like a banked airtime hill - Vekoma seem to have been taking notes from RMC. Looks like it could be quite a forceful layout!
