Emerald Park News/Discussion

It’s just for the closed season most parks close over the winter, emerald park just decide to keep the family stuff open slightly longer
I know this is Ireland however it is common practice for UK parks to close their thrill rides and only open a limited line up. Ireland is next to the UK and has a very similar climate to the UK.

Alton Towers are doing Cbeebies Land and Munity Bay only which are family areas.

Chessington is mainly family rides and the World of Jumanji.

Thorpe Park is completely closed.

Legoland closes quite a few of it's water and sometimes more thrilling rides but keeps a large number of family rides open.

Drayton Manor keeps Thomas Land and a selection of family rides open including Bounty, Accelerator and Gold Rush.

Paultons Park closes a small selection of rides however does keep Storm Chaser and Cyclonator open.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach keeps the majority of it's rides open until end of November pending maintenance and weather conditions. This year, they're planning to do February half term with Nickelodeon Land only.

We kind of discussed this in the Viking Voyage thread, but I think it deserves one of it's own. The park is rumoured to get a kiddie coaster next year, and a big thrill coaster in 2019. What do you think will happen in the near future? When will supposed announcements take place? I post this today, because we could potentially have some announcement tomorrow (you all know what day that is).
Honestly I would say a kiddie coaster soon but with that new land they opened last year they got a kiddie coaster so I honestly don’t feel like they need another kid coaster but I do think they need another thrill coaster to support there line up better as they have plenty of kid coasters but only a few thrill coasters.

They have said the next major thrill coaster will come before 2030, so that should be the next coaster

I'm thinking it'll be some sort of family thrill coaster next and is categorised as Thrill on RCDB. Something that fits between Quest and Fianna Force/Cu Chulainn I'd say.

It could possibly be combined with a larger thrill coaster like a launch coaster.
