Eejanaika SBNO on my rcdb?

First of all my heart goes out to the guys family, horrible incident and one that should never ever be able to happen.

From a closure perspective the Japanese tend to keep a ride shut for the entire investigation period after a major accident and that can be for a very long time, even into years.

Steel Dragon 2000 was shut for 3 years following it's wheel chucking incident.

This doesn't sound like it will be quite as long since it doesn't sound like a ride hardware failure like 2D2k and Fujin Rajin 2 were and more human error.

But I would err on the side of caution and wouldnt expect the ride to open for the rest of the year. Hopefully not too many enthusiasts heading out that way soon.

but they removed Dodonpa for less... can't say I'm not worried about it.
For less in the sense that this involved a tragic death, but the Do-Dodonpa broken bone incidents were actual riders getting injured from riding the ride so it's more impactful for the fate of the ride itself, presumably.

Hopefully not too many enthusiasts heading out that way soon.
Of course I recently booked a very expensive trip to go to Japan in April. 😢 So far Fuji Q only have it listed as closed for the rest of March, but I'm going to assume it'll stay closed now.

Sad way to go for the worker. It surprises how often maintenance workers get killed on coasters in general. Seems to happen a fair bit. I remember Taron fairly recently? And Olympia Looping? All similar incidents if I remember right.
