FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PR Log (Press Release) – Mar 01, 2010 – A 4D taste of the Oscars unveiled at Drayton Manor Theme Park
Drayton Manor Theme Park, near Tamworth, Staffordshire, will be showing Oscar winning film Happy Feet, at its 4D cinema for the 2010 season, which begins on 20th March.
A specially adapted film of Happy Feet, with a run time of 12 minutes, tells the tale of penguin Mumble, who bravely tries to save his penguin friends from starvation, after humans steal their food supply of fish.
The experience is made all the more sensational by the special effects in the 4D Cinema, where chairs move up and down, release sprays of water, bursts of air and various smells to react to what’s happening on the screen.
The film, included in the cost of entrance to the park, will continue to be shown at regular daily intervals throughout the 2010 season, and is just one of the treats in store for visitors as Drayton Manor celebrates its momentous 60th anniversary year.
Colin Bryan, Managing Director of Drayton Manor Theme Park comments: “We are very excited to have an Oscar winning film showing at the park this year. The 4D cinema provides great entertainment for all ages, and we wanted to show something extra special during our Diamond Jubilee.
We are extremely proud to be celebrating our 60th anniversary and hope everybody who visits the park this year will enjoy the atmosphere and have great, value for money, day out.”
The 2010 season will run from Saturday 20th March until Sunday 31st October. For full details about opening times or more information about the park, including prices, visit www.draytonmanor.co.uk or call the 24-hour information line on 0844 472 1950.
