Oh ****:-

Hope everyone is ok.

Based on the fact the houses closest to the park are in direct line of site of the fire, the fire is likely in a building close to the park border.

EDIT:- Just come out in news that the fire started in a toilet block in Thomas Land... O_O

The park would probably be ****ed if not for the Looping buyout.

Sad news, I suppose we'll find out more in the coming days, Hopefully Looping's Group get it fixed soon. Any idea how much that company have beeen making?

All depends on the extent of the damage, but if they can’t open Thomasland, then it’s a bit worrying. Surely the vast majority of visitors go for Thomas, and with fewer thrill rides compared to its heyday, how will they make up that shortfall?

Hopefully those photos make it look worse than it actually was.

Has anyone heard any more on the rumours earlier in year that this year would be Shockwave's and Apocalypse's last? It seemed like a pretty done deal before the Looping Group takeover from my understanding? Because if that's the plan, AND Thomas Land is even partially unable to open...

Good thing this happened whilst the park was closed, otherwise this could have been a very different story.

Yes, heard both rumours. Assume the sale has put all plans on ice for now. Can't imagine either of them leaving if at all possible. The cost to remove would be huge and doubt there is much resale value.

Fingers crossed fire is not too bad. Drayton Manor have had rotten luck this year.
