As it says in the title really.

Just wondered if anybody could help me out and offer any information with regards to getting to Parc Astreix from Disneyland Paris and back again. I figured somebody MUST have done it before, so any help would be greatly appreciate before I get lost trying to understand French public transport.

Unfortunately, hiring a car is not an option. Just incase it matters, we're going in October half term.

Thanks for any help in assisting me to finally getting my arse out of Disneyland and to Parc Astreix.

If I recall correctly Asterix do have a shuttle bus from Charles de Gaulle station (or somewhere like that)...

Easy to get to from Marnee La Valee...

^Silly Benin is clearly forgetting the fact we went to Parc Asterix last year by public transport :p

There are two options with getting to Asterix:
1) Get a coach from central Paris (Louvre museum)
2) Get a coach from the airport as Benin mentioned

To get to the Louvre museum you have to get two RER trains (quite cheap and easy to use, think London Underground but in France). For instructions on how to find the coach look in my trip report - HERE

To get to the airport I think you can catch coaches there from Disney or you can get a TGV train (expensive, book way in advance to save money).

So the options are there and are very easy. Prices etc for the coaches may have changed since we went so might be best to check that in a month or two on the official Asterix site. When you get the coach to Asterix ask the driver when you arrive about the last coach back to either the airport or Paris as this may change throughout the year (unlike us you may want to look up how to ask that in French :p )

If you have any more questions about trains etc then I'm happy to help out.

Thank you guys!

Probably go for the Charles de Gaulle option because since we're flying into there that seems to be the more familiar option. Might do it on the first day then head down to Disney, just hard to figure out a way of doing it without 'wasting' a day on the Disney pass.

But thanks guys, really appreciate it! Looking forward to checking out the place a lot. I'll be sure to post if a get stuck trying to sort it out!

^Cool, let us know how you get on. It really is an awesome place and you'll really enjoy it. Just makes sure you do Zeus and Cesar, they are the best attractions at the park.

Depends how long you will be going for, in which it wud dictate if you would be wasting a pass day or not.

when i went (from the monday to friday early in late out etc) it was the four day pass thing so just chose a thursday to go into paris etc

so depending on how long your going for will like i said dictate if it is wasted or not =)

If there is a bus from CdG, then you stand a good chance. There's a TVG train that runs to and from DLP to CdG, and it only takes about 6mins!

^ Oh cheers that sounds great!

So that to CdG then the bus from there sounds perfect. Cheers guys, really appreciate your help again.

I will make sure I do Zeus and Cesar John, try and get as much done as possible! That's if the French don't push in too much, we'll wait and see..
