Coaster Count

I've been wondering. Do Log flumes count in your coaster count? Also What about water coasters (Like the Master Blaster kind of water coaster)

Basically what kind of water rides count towards the Coaster Count if any?

Nope. Log Flumes, Supersplashes and similar are not coasters, They are water rides. I haven't ridden a water coaster or a Master Blaster so I don't have an Opinion on them. Just by looking though, I would count Water Coasters and not Master Blasters.

Stuff like Perilous plunge I'll also decide when I see/ride them.

I personally don`t, but again your coaster count can be exactly what you want it to be? After all it`s "YOUR" coaster count. I judge my CC by RCDB, if its listed there then it goes towards the count, but if its not, then it don`t.

Ok. Thanks. I'm wondering what you feel about Splash Mountain. It is on a track the entire time and all the drops are on wheels, but it is still a "Log Flume"

I'd generally say "if in doubt, check RCDB". Other than that, it's a free world. Just expect to get some stick if you start adding in things that are clearly not coasters :)

SuperSplash (Mack's?) Sure it counts. It has a coaster section, yes very short, but still a coaster section, plus the car always stays on a track and it is run/operated like a roller coaster.

The Supersplash at Plopsaland definitely comes of the rails:

^They almost all if not all do at one point or another.

There was a big discussion about it years ago... It was about as exciting as it sounds.

haha. I'm surprised there was so much debate. I was just asking about log flume and Water Coasters. I thought it was a simple question.

While we were on the topic, I figured I could bring something up.
I was wondering if Medusa and Bizarro at SFGA count as two different credits.
I would generally think, no, because the trains dont change, its just all added effects and lights and sounds and fire. But I really do think Bizarro was a much more enjoyable experience than Medusa.
I would definitely count it as a new credit if they has put entirely new trains .... ie corkscrew to sea viper at seaworld gold coast.
anyways, would anyone count medusa and bizarro as two credits? or just one?

Also, does everyone count racing coasters as two credits? ie. Lightning Racer (Lightning and Thunder) and Rebel Yell (Red and Blue).
I always have, because its essentially two different roller coasters.

Others are so stringent they don't count clones (Phil, I think?) - as in, you'll only find one SLC on his count, one Boomerang, etc., because he considers it "you've ridden one, you've ridden them all."

That's me for one of these reasons:
- it's the only sensible way to do it.
- it stops all arguments, dead. If there's a chance it may not be, it isn't. Simple.
- no requirement to ride every Big Apple you see.
- it stops you from using your coaster count as an e-penis (mine is small, but perfectly formed).
- contrariness.

How many and which of those are the real reasons, I'll let you decide, but I'll argue a case for all of them ;)

I take my "count" to a further extreme. I only list the ones which genuinely "WOW" me. I know I've ridden around 200 roller coasters, but only have 20 or so on my count. As has been said, it's all down to personal preference.

So using Phil's logic, my e-penis is microscopic but **** stunning! :P

Perhaps, but I find the idea of taking far too much time to compile and order a massive list retarded. It's all subjective :P .

Not sure, I've never had a problem counting. ;)
