Fantabulous and great.

I have just got home and I am blooming shattered. I actually don't know where to begin in talking about the awesomeness of this weekend...

Exclusive rides on Kobra... Me actually getting to hold a snake and not blouse it!!!!!... Lorikeet birds of complete cuteness.... Chessington being totally back on form with it's theming... Seeing all you crazy peoples again...

I actually couldn't begin to form a timeline in anyway right now. I'm totally flipping shattered. I shall have Moroccan tea and sleep and will do a proper report tommorows.

For now, a massive thanks for all that turned up and made the day fantastic. Much love to all!

Oh, and why o why are thighs aching so much....

I am completely broken, but had an amazing 2 days! Chessington, once again, proved that it's a fab park with an excellent atmosphere. Wild Asia is FAB and contains some great additions to the park. I could actually spend ALL DAY talking to and watching Banyan Maximus - as it was, I must've spent a total of about an hour with him throughout the day! :D

I'm going to be writing an article for On Track, and may well do a bit more ofa trip report tomorrow. In the meantime... crappy photos - http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=1 ... 6f7541dafb

Wild Asia seriously loves it...

The tree and lorikeets are the 2 BEST addition to any park in 2010...

Do a proper report when I'm feeling better...

Had a good day. The new area is UNBELIEVABLY INCREDIBLE (for chessington). It's a pity Kobra doesn't really appeal to me, because It looks pretty fantastic being there.

The Lorikeet house is the best thing at Chessington now. Better than Fury. lol.

Wild Asia > Dark Forest

Lorikeets > Th13teen

Chessington have done an AMAZING job, and the day was awesome. Very, very, very impressed. And loving the photos!

I echo all previous comments and say how much I enjoyed seeing everyone, such a great day, wouldn't have cared if I rode anything or not.

What Chessie has achieved is excellent not just Kobra but with Banyan and the Loikeets. I think most of us enjoyed talking to a tree and the birds more than anything.

Thanks to everyone, and as the Tree says Coasterforce are better than......RCCGB...LOL we already knew that!!

The 2 days were amazing. Really enjoyed the time with you guys. Thanks for inviting me down on the Media Event too. Nic thanks for covering the food costs. I still don't feel right not paying haha.

Wild Asia is possibly the best thing we've seen since Hex or Amity Cove (how it was in 2000) in my opinion, theme wise. It takes a Lorikeet slushy dump on Alive or Dark Forest. It is stunning to see that level of theming and to see unique 'must do' attractions. It makes me very excited for the future of Chessie.

Coaster Force is better than RCCGB. Loud and Clear :)

I'll start putting the Doc together throughout this week. I haven't decided how I'm going to start it off yet.

Here are some pictures from Friday and Saturday :)

Friday and Saturday are 2 of the strange days you get at theme parks that can never be repeated and can only be achieved with the great members from CF.

Well done to Chessington, I admit I did not think they could do it after the bad attempts by Thorpe and Alton. Chessington pulled off and even done better than they said they would, they have created a land for everyone.

The Loikeets were a highlight of the day and for me will be a must visit.

Like I said, it was your Birthday pressie! hehe! And besides, a plate of chips from spoons is hardly going to break the bank, is it? ;)

Sleeping in failed my start to the day. [Lack of alarm]

But my 3 hours at the park were loved <3

It was a shame i had to go to work afterwards. It was the most dire shift i've had since starting.

Loved the day! Like REALLY loved the day.

I still think Wild Asia is a bit too overloved, I can understand though - even I would find it hard to bitch if I'd been given such nice treatment like you guys have.

It still has Beanoland ALL over it - I like it, but I was disappointed that it wasn't the "fab fabness" I was promised.

Banyan loved life though! RACHEL ADEDEJI tree!

I've been following all the Facebook updates and photos over the weekend and I've very jealous :)

Looked like a superb day on Saturday, and the new areas are excellent.

Means we'll have to make an effort to get to Chessie then this year...

Ohhh it seriously sucks that I had to miss it, but alas I do need to start making money again. Am hopefully hitting up Chessington sometime this week with my boyfriend's niece so that should be fun. Lorikeets are so so cute!!!!

Wild Asia looks fab, Chessington are certainly setting an example and showing up all Merlin's other 'new for 2010' attractions.

^If you think Wild Asia looks good in the photos, just wait until you see it in person. It's amazing :--D

Anyway, I had a fabulous day, and I don't think I've laughed as much as I did on Rameses Revenge for ages. CFers who went on it/watched will know what I'm talkng about!

Even though my day did end a lot sooner than I wanted due to a bag lady dilemma, I still managed to laugh away and be entertained. Once again, fabulous day.

Still can't believe we got the tree to shout "RAR RAR RAAARR"

I should add my thoughts!

I've a certain love for CWoA now, mainly due to the fact I've met the management and can see first hand how much they genuinely care. Their enthusiasm is infectious. I've met other park managment before and some have been very much "paint by numbers." I'd like to think I'm a good judge of character so I have a lot of respect for the park and the direction it's going.

Anyway. Friday was a great preview day. I LOVED having the run of Wild Aisa to just a handful of people. 15 mins ride on dodgems, play house and loner-Kobra times meant an ejoybale day out.

What I enjoyed the most about the trip on Saturday was the reaction from CFers. It was the first time in a long time where there seemed to be a unaminious praise and enthsuiasm for the park (and a theme park in general). Theme parks are so much better when people are laughing, smiling and willing.

The Lorikeets are certainly a highlight, although would have been funnier if somebody was shat on.

Chessington always feels really relaxed and Saturday was no different, I had a great time, despite having to leave early for a prearranged social engagement.

My god, did I feel ****ed on Sunday morning!

So yeah, great day etc etc. Roll on GhosterForce, although I'll certainly be back there before then!

Yeah, the nice treatment does go a long way when reviewing a park, I agree with that, but I do genuinely feel that there was nothing to bitch about. They'd done an excellent job with Wild Asia and I can't see where you think Beanoland still exists (despite having the same rides plus Kobra). It didn't feel Beanoish at all to me.

I'm going to put my diplomatic head on and say that I wish people didn't make a point of that. Of course we're all CF biased (and that's the way it should be!) but there's a group that can suit the requirements and expectations of the individual, be it RCCGB, TPR, ECC and so forth. I agreed with Andy Hine on Friday that bickering and oneupmanship between different groups doesn't offer anything.

Hahaha, when Ben (who I consider to be one of the harshest critics on CF) says that it does make me think that I would rather return to Chessington to feed a few parrots than ride the bastard love child of a kiddie coaster and berry-bounce.

It was completely unprompted. We didn't put him up to it. Promise.

I think a few of us did, I know me and Leigh did :)

Why wasn't I informed? I wanted to laugh at that happening!

I can back that up. I was there!
