Thats really sad Dave, he was a decent player and was well liked within football. :(

Really scary how someone fit as a fiddle and so young can have cancer and within three months are dead.

Argentine Francisco Varallo, the last surviving player from the first World Cup in 1930, died at the age of 100.
Varallo, nicknamed “Canoncito” (little canon) for his powerful shot, played in Argentina's 4-2 loss in the final to Uruguay in Montevideo after missing the semifinals against the United States with an injury.

Yes, the United States played in the semifinals way back when. They beat England 1-0 to get there.
