Camelot Future

Re: Camelot Closed... Again

I hate the Knightmare trains - they don't exactly scream "scary and exciting" do they?

It's a terrible park.
Perhaps if you want rides, yes, but I overheard a discussion at my theatre the other day where a lot of people with young children were raving about the place. Got more for that age than Alton Towers, and a better atmosphere than Blackpool... apparently.

Just anecdotal, but shows they're serving a target audience pretty well.

Re: Camelot Closed... Again

I think the whole hype around Knightmare was that it was originally in Japan, **** all people had ridden it on western boards and then some Americans found it, bummed about it because it was all rare and super cool, then when more people went on it they found it was actually just an average ride.

Re: Camelot Closed... Again

Knightmare is alright, but is certainly helped by having **** surround it...

I enjoyed it... But never will I be bothered to go back to that dump of a park to go again...

Re: Camelot Closed... Again

There was nothing I disliked about Knightmare, but I just couldn't get excited by it either.

Where's that over-rated rides topic gone?

Re: Camelot Closed... Again

I really need this to happen. I need Knightmare, considering I live so close and haven't bothered to go to get it, that says a lot for the park.

Re: Camelot Closed... Again

Only one joust show today because of lack of visitors. Which is slightly worrying.

That said, I know loads of people who'd go if the 2-for-1 offer was still around but will not pay £28 per person.

Re: Camelot Closed... Again

Can this topic title be changed, considering it was just an April fools joke? This does seem to be the general Camelot thread now...

It's not worrying that they're only doing one show, it's logical. If they advertise one show a day, more people would bother to stop off and watch the show. It always felt half arced when I was there, like; 'Let's do this, then move here, fight. Then say this not-funny thing, then move here and fight some more'. It was just boring. This coming from someone who has 3 friends who are in the "cast" of the show... Lol!

I really want to get to the park even though everyone says it's a dump, Knightmare already looks rusty on the POV, I guess I want to go before it gets any worse. Problem is it's a long way for me to drive just to go there, BPB hasn't got anything new and most of their coasters just seemed to be getting rough when I last visited. Also I can't combine it with Gullivers to get my Antelope credit because i'd need to take a kid to get into the place :-(

What about the other two creds there? :p

I like Gullivers actually, best park in the North West ;)
