Boulder Dash has new trims at the top of the turn around and today furie & I got to experience them first hand. Like me, many of you were wondering how the trim would affect the ride and I have great news. The kid, the wife & I all think that the coaster rides even better than last year, whereas furie only knows it's the best coaster he's ever ridden.
The trim is very slight (three light touches just to keep you from slamming up against the right side of the train) & it lines the train up to cruise through the turn without slowing down at all. It even seems to gain speed quicker than before & the train cruises through all those air-time hills even faster. The air-time feels more sustained throughout the return toward the station & I'm seriously considering moving this baby into my #1 spot.
Have you ridden Boulder Dash with the new trims? If so, what is your opinion? Is it better with the trim or without?

I was hoping it wouldn't suck if they added trims.. and with furies report.. it doesn't disappoint.

I haven't been on it with trims..

Or without trims.

:'(

Same here, but now I kind of wish I had gone last year so I could have a reasonable idea of what it was like before the trims. Hell, I don't even know the layout so I'm not quite sure where they even are on the ride.

That's excellent news. That ride really was something special before, so I'm relieved to know that it's still running as well as ever.

Damn it, now I want to go and ride the thing all over again.

They're just before the single most orgasmic section of airtime ever, if that gives you a better idea?

I didn't know El Toro's drop was on Boulder Dash.

^He meant to say 'series' of moments of airtime. I agree about Toro's one hill.. but that last bit before the brake run is what made Boulder Dash my favorite coaster.

Last year Boulder Dash was number three behind Toro and Maverick this year with the trim it actually seems faster and you get more air time so therefore it became #1

It's not, but, Toro's drop is only the second most orgasmic section of airtime ever
